I know it's late notice, but there's a new Italian restaurant opening tomorrow night in Summerville and a few of us are going to bring the cars out to give the grand opening some authentic flavor.

If anyone's free, feel free to join us:

    Tomatoes Authentic Italian Ristorante
    717 Old Trolley Rd
    Summerville, SC
    (843) 871-9696

There's an existing reservation under Perry, so you can call to extend that if you can come, or call me at 843-834-2825.

    Cheers!

I wish I was down there to join you Charles. Which of the stallions is going to provide the flavor? Please take some pics.

I'll be there, with my camera (and the Dino, of course). Since the place doesn't have a liquor license yet, there probably won't be too many opportunities for blackmail :)

Speaking of vino, does anyone know whether BYOB is illegal in SC if a place doesn't have a liquor license yet?

I guess I could keep it in the trunk and make several trips to the parking lot to "check on the cars"...

I know at many restaurants you can bring your own bottle of "vino" and pay an uncorking fee but I am not sure how that applies to a place that doesn't have their license to serve. That'd be something to call the restaurant and find out about.

Thanks to everyone who came out. I really had a great time meeting some of the area owners and getting some great F-car info. Everyone was really nice and informative. I look forward to attending the next get together! Thanks again for the coming out.

The fried calamari appetizer was excellent, but my pasta was way overcooked and soggy. Hopefully, things will improve. It was literally their first night open.

    Great fun anyway!

The menu had a wide range of selections. The soup I had was great. I am sure they will improve with time.

I should be more careful of what I say, in case I ever need another push start!

So, Mr. Glue, any thoughts on what our next gathering might be?

The people were great, and all the cars were great too. Thanks again for bringing the horses out of the stables. I look forward to the next gathering.
