Please discus here. FerrariChat.com has now added another value adding feature to our community. With the production lead of user Choptop, FerrariChat.com will be releasing periodic "podcasts" or what some of us old-timers might just call video shorts. These podcasts will cover a range of Ferrari related topics. They are accessible online at FerrariChat.com, through iTunes subscription for auto download, and other outlets like youTube. Please contact me for information how to sponsor these podcasts or Choptop for content suggestions. Now available for viewing Podcast #1, Nov. 21, 2006: Ferrari P4/5 Unveiling Podcast #2, Nov 21, 2006: California Regional Events http://www.ferrarichat.com/podcast/ Thank you, rob & Choptop
Ah, Rob. I know that you're staying up late with being a new dad and all that, but what's this Pod stuff? I remember an old movie, maybe the Night of the Living Dead, where some whacked out aliens planted a bunch of big ass seed pods that produced Zombies. (Or maybe that was the slime movie. Wax, can you help me out here?) So are you and choptop, like, starting some interactive, Internet movie or something? Dale
Just little videos 3-5 minutes. Various topics Ferrari related. Driving, shows, interviews, car profiles, girls, etc...
Girls? there's gunna be girls? Where do I sign up... oh wait... First off, I'd like to thank Christopher Kelly at Premier Motorcars of Sioux Falls for stepping up and believing in what Rob and I are trying to do with this. He took on the mantle of being our title sponsor for an as of yet unproven media based on what he saw in the pilots. I personally think he is going to get VERY good value for his money, as does he. and I'd also like to thank Rob for giving me a shot at doing something cool with my meager talents. I toil all day doing the same, but with deadly boring subject matter, motorsports are my passion. Its nice to blend what I do for a living with what I love. look for MANY cool things to come. also, if you have an idea, photos or video you'd like to share, let me know (via PM).
Very nice!! I'd like to see the 348-versus-NSX brawl, also something on how to change blinker fluid and how to keep my rotors from rusting. So, would we send videos to Choptop or Rob?
What is an ipod? How do I change my blinker fluid? Where do I find girls on the internet? Did the Packers win tonight?
http://www.ferrarichat.com/podcast/ Rob is working out a place to put a perm. link in the header of the site. space is a premium, but all of the links are important. subscribe to the podcast (its free, its easy) and you wont miss an episode.
Podcasts experts - I downloaded this from iTunes last night. It shows up on my iPod as there and even plays the sound but no video. When I click on it ,it shows the sponsers logo and plays the sound
Great idea, Rob and Choptop, I might have a few short video clips that I could share, from the "Jim Clark Revival" at Hockenheim this last spring! Some of them pretty interesting for hardcore Fcar fanatics! I hope I can manage to locate them somewhere on my HD! Best Carsten BTW Rob, did you get my "Gif. files"??
Rob, Yes it is worth getting your teeth into. First two were just fine. You have an amazing amount of talent here and this will spread the message. Most folks have no idea what owning and driving a Ferrari is really like. Magazines never get into the kinds of things that are commonplace here. Road and Track's long term test of the Enzo is as close as I have seen and now that is in Limbo. The Podcasts will bring more lurkers and more talent willing to contribute. Go get 'em. John
