Continuing on from my driving on a track day in the rain thread. So there I was driving along in a convoy of cars when all of a sudden............. Make sure you have the volume up....... http://www.fgear.tv/fvideos/cooldown/cool.html
It origianlly happened on friday when I was at the Track day. Managed to fix it and even did a few laps. Seems like I may have overtightened it on the fix so when I booted it, it finally split. Had to call recovery service as I did'nt have any tools. The guy got there within 15 minutes and we removed the engine lid. He then moved the clip down a few centimetres and I drove the 6 miles home....very slowly. I'll be replacing it with a silicon one sometime this week. Fortunatly it was an easy part to access. Even more fortunate, was that I was about to enter the Blackwall Tunnel, which is a looooong tunnel going under the Thames river. Then I would really have been screwed. The 348's having all the rads and rubbers changed next month anyway. Just bad timing.
