I put together a few Ferrari wallpapers from photos I took of my F430 Coupe and I thought I'd share them with the folks here. I have higher resolution versions available...if you want them just drop me an email at [email protected]. (not sure why I only said Windows desktop in the subject line...didn't mean to exclude the Mac folks...they're for you too!)

    Steve

P.S. Not sure if there is a wallpapers thread where this stuff *should* go...

    interior shot is the best.

i like the *concept* you've put together, but (hopefully) constructive critcism is 1 & 2 have a sort of.... odd perspective that doesn't fit the view, like they've been taken close-up and artificially distanced (you see this in photochops all the time where zoom doesn't fit the position).

#1 makes me think of Batman. :D

#3, get rid of the lighty stripe things on the sides, use a chrome prancing donkey and play with transparency, and with the car that needs to be gloss not matte.

    hope that helps! :)

Nice work! Can we get higher resolution? My favorite is also the interior. Well done!

    best regards,

Thanks for the feedback, it's always appreciated. On the perspective, these images are derivatives of actual photos I took. I didn't play with the perspective of the cars at all. The cars in the images are what the lens actually saw. That said, I was going for photos that showed more/unique perspective so possibly it was successful. :D

Same for #3, I was going for an overall matte look. Gives it a different feel then the usual glossy car shot. Kind of like a somewhat foggy, somewhat clear night with a bright moon. If that makes sense.

Nicely done Steve -- what macro lens did you use for the tach shot ?

I'd like to see a composite shot -- the #3 shot, with insets for each of the 3 macro shots .... that'd be pretty cool.

Thanks Paul. I used a Nikon 105mm Micro (for those non-Nikon folks..."micro" is Nikon's term for "macro"). That composite could look good...I may play with that. I'm actually working on a new image that is a composite of 2 macro photos right now...I'll see if I can get it posted in a bit.
