    Hi there,

Can any one shed some light between the difference of std stitching and STC 2? Reason is all the cars in my countries seems to have the STC 2 option and my dealer can't seems to give me further details.

I've check the Scaglietti Carozzeria option brochure but there are no photos in there to explain too. I've seen the STC 2 option and it apparently have a broader thread. However if the std stitching is finer, I actually prefer it. A side by side photo will be really great.

Too, on the centre console, there is a lower driving zome CF option. However, I have seen on some cars where only the surface of the centre console (auto button) surrounding is CF and the console itself is in leather, what option is this? Or after market?

I have STC2 on my car.

The STC2 is indeed a broader thread, it is also stictched at a slightly different angle. The stitching is more pronounced and therefore has a better contrast against the leather.

    It works for me.

Sorry no photo.. on vacation at the moment. Good luck.

There is also STC1. I have STC1 on my car.
I have some photos of STC1 and STC2. Both are double stitching, but one is a tighter knot than the other, not much difference between both. However, currently I am also travelling. I will post the pictures in a few days.

    I have STC2 -- it's a double-stitch that is less-resistant to wear and provides better contrast.

Tighter knot? That's something really new. All I know is the broader thread. Great to see the comparison pics.

Do you prefer STC 1 over STC 2? My dealer is really useless, all they know is everyone opts for STC2, thus it must be better!

    Have a gd time.

U sure is left and right? Hmmm I thought it would have been the other way around...hahahaha
Now talk about confusing everyone. I am not even sure myself. hahaha
I know there is a difference as I was just at the workshop today and I compared my STC2 red stitch versus someone elses STC1 red stitch. Distinct difference.

The STC1 stitching... finer stitching, less space between the thread, mover vertical to each other (thread is lined up).

STC2. Thicker thread, the sewing is at an angle, slightly more corse looking and therefore stands out more.

    hope this helps.
