Parked outside the fashionable Cipriani restaurant in Mayfair this lunchtime. According to the chauffeur, it is one of 7 specials. Does anyone know about this disaster? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It belongs to the owner of the wooden F50 who happens to be the brother in law of the guy who made the hello kitty 512TR !
Wow a Ferrari Station Wagon? never seen that before, is that a Maranello front end? Looks strange and yet cool, now Mom can make sure kids will n ever be late for school. Love to see that in Rosso Corsa.
Hey man, that's the hearse that will carry me to the boneyard! I'll need six of you guys to pitch in when we get there..... Actually I want it, to carry the 9' 6" and 10' 6" Velzy's to the beach... He's right it's a one off....made for the Middle East, they have a lot of wives, after all! Also a big hit with the Mormons, hence the subtle color.. It was new when 456s were new...just another old car now........
I believe it's more like a 7 off, and personally I think it's awesome. Search is your friend-- try "456 Venice." They also made sedans and convertibles in the same series, all for the same customer.
I've ridden in this. PF for Sultan. New ownership. A shooting brake. Auto box/door seal/etc. massively re engineered. May not be your cup of Tea but it's extremely well done.
WOW !!! I'm in love. I'm a HUGE wagon fan... hell, I'm huge to begin with, hence a fan of larger cars. Performance wagons are my fave. This one tops them all. *runs off to find check book* who do I make the check out to?
If anyone is interested I can put you in touch with Pininfarina who can do anything you want to any car.
*checkbook bursts into flames* any client referal discounts? I might have to be happy with my hot rod Volvo wagon, and the incoming Hemi Dodge Magnum.
ROFL Actually I do like it. Something you'd do a double take on, only to say, "oh, it really is what I thought it was..."
That one has the wheel on the wrong side.. Try that Audi hot rod wagon.......a real sleeper... *blinking lights in the fast lane*
The disaster here is that there is a Ferrari owner out there that wants to be a passanger in his own Ferrari
What I understand the Sultan originally ordered 7 but only took 6 of them the other one was sold to someone in Europe.
I believe it was custom made for the Sultan Of Brunei, although I can't say for sure. Nice pictures. I've never seen any clear, good quality pictures of it before. Nice SLR parked in front of it.
Thank you all for your information on the car's pedigree. I agree that a chauffeur-driven Ferrari, even 'modified' like this, is a problem. It's not the only chauffeur-driven F car parked outside though, as I've chatted to a uniformed chauffeur standing by his master's... Testarossa (oh, the shame, as it's the car I drive) and ditto, a Daytona. The only consolation is that both were in concours +++ condition. It goes with the restaurant though, which is noisy, brash, expensive and with intrusive waiters who really want to know what you think of them, rather than the food. And yes, I have eaten there on several occasions.
