Hey guys, I am not new to the forum....but yes its true I lurk on the darkside down in the lamborghini dungeon. I am familiar with many exotics and have been doing some research on what the next ride for my stable will be. I am thinking either a G-car......Ford GT.....SL65 or maybe a horse.....see I am understanding that horses do like stables and therefor it just seems only right for me to fit a horse in it, right?

Well I was looking around and am looking at getting into a car that I dont mind driving and putting miles on, I have a mercedes S550 and love it...but I need a toy in there too. Please let me know.....Thanks guys

Cameron - its very early in the morning - go get some sleep !

In the morning (or whenever your hangover goes away) book a load of test drives and see what really excites you

    Then buy it

    Simple really......

Ever thought of keeping a real horse in the stable block ?.

    Enjoy

It is 5:17 right now in sunny, well not so sunny at night, naples fl. I am normally not able to book any test drives due to my age. I am 21 and have been doing real estate for a few years now. I am highly motivated and not dumb, although many car dealers do not care about either. They normally see you as being just 21. I understand though, it isnt every day that someone my age buys an exotic. Thanks....and I guess I should work on the getting drunk part before I work on the hangover part huh.....cheers

Gosh, that sounds like it's tough! I would say, in the first place, fix your budget, if you like to loose money fast, buy epensive crap, if not buy a Ferrari, why not start with an F430!
If you're not into that kind budget, look for something exceptional , that won't loose much of its value , maybe a Testa or a TR, or very low mileage 328: those are the Classics of tomorrow! (many say they already are today)

Well right now I have a viper TT from jason heffner...I love it, although there is a lot to say about horses and bulls. I have a few friends with some ferraris and they seem to be really happy. The only thing is that they pay an unbelievable amount of money in up keep...I hear a lot of different things from people about ferraris.....
Please dont kill me on here but I have heard a lot of people say that although they are great when they work, they call them POS....I dont know if thats true but please just let me know what you guys think about models and drivability.....

Ferraris and Lamborghinis are exotics and are certainly more demanding than Vipers, Vettes, Fords, Mercedes, etc.

You can jump in a Viper or Corvette, drive off and flog the hell out of it, and if/when something breaks you take it to one of thousands of Dodge or Chevy dealers where they can fix it the same day.

A Ferrari doesn't suffer that treatment kindly, and yes - you need to warm it up properly, service it religiously, and drive it intelligently. And don't plan to rush your mechanic.

Most people are under the delusion that a Ferrari is simply the next high-cachet brand name up the scale after Porsche. Having owned both, I can tell you they are very different cars. You will pay for the rarity, hand-assembly and high-strung nature of a Ferrari in a way that Porsche and Viper/Vette/Ford owners don't have to worry about, and you will get rewarded in a way that they generally can't grasp.

Read this -- about a 550 with generally minor issues:

If you're concerned about upkeep, I would say keep the Viper. Or go to a Porsche 997 - I think the European cars are cut from a common cloth in some ways, although the Germans haven't figured out the raw passion of Ferrari.

rapidsugarfoot- I see if your profile that you have a Z32, are you on the 3zc forums?

If you have a high power TTZ than maintenance on a supercar should be cake, haha. But if you're looking for something that you can just drive and not be worried about, have you looked at the Porsche 997 Turbo's? They are badass and I bet you'd have tons of fun with it.

No I got rid of that piece of **** Z a little while back, that car was the definition to the term money pit....It is crazy what kind of cash you can put towards your show cars......and it almost becomes a lifestyle.
I have heard that the f-cars are really good for the most part. Some of them less driveable than others. HAHAHA not many people know that the Z's are that bad....ohhh but they are. Great fun when they work though.
Soo I am looking for a car in the the range of 130K or less. So I know that I have a lot of good options. I can go a little higher but am not interested in being run tight on finances. Sooo I think that the mercedes is the highest priced machine I can buy. Those are my latest thoughts thanks

Even when you're 60, if you go to a dealer and say the magic word "financing", you'll get a cold reception.

Dealers don't respect people -- they respect cash.
