If Schumacher, Brawn, and Martinelli had not either left Ferrari or gone to another area of the company, Jean Todt admitted he had planned to retire in 2007, before the season started.

With the other departures, he felt he could not yet leave. Ferrari officials have confirmed Todt's desire to retire. Rumor is that Todt may still retire at the end of 2007 or 2008 if Ross Brawn returns as Ferrari team leader.

Additionally, Todt confirmed that he has asked Kimi "to party more discreetly" when he arrives at Ferrari.

I hope Kimi ignores that. And if it is true what you once told me, then Kimi won't need to party hardy in 07. :)

Yes, the sport sorely misses, and does need another James Hunt. That is the only way F1 could ever compete with the good ole boys of NASCAR in the USA.

No, he means london - a notorious 'high class' strip joint owned by aging lothario Peter Stringfellow. One of Kimi's favourites, apparently...

But if you were a boss, would you even publicize something you said like that ?
I mean, as a boss, some things are best left unsaid (in the media).

Maybe if I wanted to keep my job, but it seems Mr. Todt might have reached the point of F-you money. He's ready to leave and I'm sure things that once mattered don't seem that important anymore. Let's hope that kind of attitude and Kimi will bring something new to the team and to the sport.

Rumor has it that Kimi was spotted on the receiving end of a beaner at Stringfellows in London during last year's off-season.

Now, had it been Ralf Schumacher... :p

The one in Paris is quite nice too. The cars arent as classy as in the Flandrin, but the aero is definetly sculpted for track activities.

I haven't heard that since 1984. I think I had it airbrushed on a t-shirt in Florida back in high school.

    Totally agree about Hunt!
Irvine was the guy, but unfortunately, he was only very much supported from the moment Schumi broke his leg.... Shame! What do you guys think?

Jimmy Johnson (NASCAR) fell off the roof of a golfcart and broke his wrist. F1 can't beat that. Plus how many drivers in F1 are under 21(US drinking age) and cant "legally" drink liquor.

I was a fan of Kimi from day one, but the day I heard of him rolling on the floor in a strip club, he became my pal. Not that I would indulge in that kind of behavior. I wouldn't, because I wouldn't want to get kicked out.

Now what's with the vague innuendo? Should I change the wording of my previous post?

I wonder what Kimi's wife things of his flandering, apparently Hunt's wife got sick of it and married Richard Burton.

I agree about Irvine, what a playboy. Too make a ton of money, drive a 288 GTO, and hang out with some serious ladies.

When I met Eddie at the Glen last year, he was with a smokin' Japanese girl. We talked for a little while, and I asked him where he was headed after the race (knowing he's a globetrotter, I was curious what a guy with no schedule would say). his reply was classic....he said' well we're going to NY for a few days, where she lives, then after that who knows?'... then he bsuted out laughing. And so did I............
The was at the IRL race in 2005.
