Awesome !!........why he didn't make it full size so he could drive it is beyond me though......like he said "I have no money"......so maybe it was beyond his budget.

You can find more details about his current projects here:
    http://www.mps-sportproto.com/en/

Apart from building a second 312PB he is now also working on 1/3 scale models of the 330 P4 and the 250 GTO.

    Absolutely fantastic work!

That clip can be reposted as many times as you like, it's one of my all time favourites. The sheer dedication of the man is remarkable.
I still have it on Video from when the clip was first screened as part of a Top Gear Ferrari special (launch of the 456?)

that is absolutely amazing. someone should get donations together to buy him a real one, he'd probably cry if someone gave him a real one.

I think he should up the scale to a little bigger. If he can build a 1/3 functioning car, he should be able to build a full size perfect replica given the materials, time, and of course money to do so.

If I told my wife I was going to spend the next fifteen years making a model car I bet I could hear the laughing for half an hour after she left me (sound THAT loud does travel far). - GJ

The sad thing is that he could instead have put in 20,000 hours working for Manpower Italiano, and then had enough lira to buy his own 1:1 scale 360...;)

How about this Belgium guy spending over 20.000 hrs to make this unbelievable 1:3 scale 312PB...

And don't flame me if it is a repost...

(EDIT: ok, it seems to be a repost what eeeeeeeeeeeeverybody in the whole world has already seen and as it looks like I can't delete the post, only edit).

Sorry for using space in this forum.

That clip has been around for a while. There are more than a few model engine clubs around. One fellow is about half done with a 1/6 dussy.
I am about 1/4 done with a bugatti straight 8.

It's the first I've seen it. Pretty cool but I'm convinced that guy has way too much time on his hands.

Or not enough "life" on his hands. I doubt he has kids, a wife or even a dog.

WOW. This guy is a designer, machinist, builder and mechanic rolled into one !

The reason why this guy doesn't have a job is that he receives peace of mind, and enjoys working on intricate, complicated projects by himself. I doubt an intensly focused genius like that would work well with others.

Another example of a "starving artist".
