I've peaked at 12Mb/s - but I hear rumours of our cable company offering a 25Mb/s service very soon Used to have "bundled" full 100Mb/s in our office - right off the major backbone switch of a large SP: that was cool.
I'll have to try it again when I move to the other office.. considering the football field sized server room we've got there I expect it to be a little bit quicker. Image Unavailable, Please Login

meh. Our school is having internet trouble right now. We're actually getting a new server next semester so i'll re-test it next semester. I think my home connection is probably quicker Image Unavailable, Please Login
What is Japan using to get 100Mbs to the house? Fibre Optics? Verison could do it but they are going to be using a fair amount of the pipe for Digital TV.
Shaw (not sure if Vancouver gets Shaw) has their new internet out right now. 25mb/s Shaw Nitro its called. Fastest in Canada. $100 a month though. My internet is pretty slow for what the monthly fee is. But, the customer service is great!!!
yes - Shaw out here too. I don't have much choice but to take up the 25Mb/s service - being a techie and all
In Japan we have fiber right to our house. This technology has been built in the phone lines since day 1. I think I pay what.... 30$ a month for Gig-E
Is this any good? I have no idea, I have COX cable here and I pay $86 a month for TV and Internet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That means you have your wireless connected to 802.11g and are capable of speeds to 54Mb down, up is a different story. Just type net speed test in your google and you should come up with a few tests to run.
I pay $50 for 15/2mb fiber to the house. 100 mb.... are you getting digital TV off that fiber as well?
