As many of you know I had a 250 GTO replica for sale on FerrariAds here.

Well my nice replica has now officially been sold.
The truck came this morning and hauled it away.

I have to say, while polishing it up last night and making it mint for the next
buyer I certainly had time to reflect on the 12 summers we've spent together
and the hurdles I got over in constructing it in the first place, but then I thought
about the enthusiasm of the buyer and I knew I was doing the right thing.

Now, instead of the car being used 6 months in Winnipeg, and stored 6,
it will now be seeing good weather year round.

Yes, I sold it to someone in your great U S of A.
So if anyone sees it booting around in Las Vegas Nevada, you bet, that's her.
Tell her I said hi. ;)

Awesome car, do you have any plans to build or buy something else of any comparison?

If you dont mind me asking, what is the street value of replicas such as this? i understand if you dont give me an answer though but even a ball part figure or range would be great as i dont have a clue

    Regards,

    Matthew

I am not going to be building another one or anything.
I sold it because I ended up getting a 328 3 years ago and between the two
decided to keep the 328, although it wasn't an easy choice.

I ended up letting it go for $20g US. I think the car is worth more since the
motor is up to 3.1L and has triple carbs, etc., but because I'm so far away
from the best market I had to let it go for less because shipping so far away
is expensive, plus, he will still need to get it through emissions, and I had to
allow him some money in case he has a lot of work to do for that.

I would sure like to hear from our Vegas members if you see it, let me know
what you think when you get to see it in person.

There are other GTO's for sale, I know of 3 recently. Some were more and
one was less. Of course I think mine was the best. ;)

I don't know about him, but I have, and they look like this.
    Some think mine looked nicer.

    No offence taken. :)

It was based on a 280Z.
The motor had triple carbs, hot street cam, Stroked out to 3.1 Liters, Header, Digital Ignition, etc..
Went pretty good. And looked like.....

I maintain, do it right or don't do it at all. Glad you liked it. :)
