hey guys, as i was losing my mind reading for my last final tomorrow, i just dropped into ebay for a sec to see something and i came across a white/silver veryon being sold in toronto? from the pics it looks like its at the lambo dealer..but it doesn't look like the lambo dealer to me (unless there a part of it i haven't been to)... the seller is new and it says the car is in toronto...700 US starting bid...IF its real...woo.. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Other-Makes-2006-Bugatti-Veyron-16-4-2006-Bugatti-Veyron-16-4_W0QQitemZ320061756250QQihZ011QQcategoryZ6472QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem take a look see... Later,
Sure does......anyone with half a brain marketing a $1MM car would have better pics, more info, and maybe, just maybe, some feedback. I think it is BS so I am going to send him a message asking some questions.
Do you guys think this is a real scam, in that the lister thinks he can really get some money out of it? Or simply some jackass having fun? Either way, I agree... fake car and fake lister.
Possible scam or Curbside operation: 1. Experience - We have experienced this with the "MDM Eurotics" company, themselves selling an FXX ?? Can be read in the MDM Eurotics thread. 2. Timing - Tis' the season for scams and fraud. (Christmas Time). 3. History - The seller has 0 history of sells/buys or Feedback. 4. Detail - The Pictures are quite vague, a 3 $mil car will have quite more detailed info than what this seller is providing. 5. Owner - Assuming Lambo of Toronto is an official rep of Bugatti, and that is their showroom in the photo, why isn't their name or address shown on the page, as with other dealers on Ebay? 6. Strange Bidding- Why is the bidding starting at 700,000$ with no reserve, when the car retails for close to 3 $ mil?
That looks like the Bugatti demo car that has been running around the US. Also there are no Official Bugatti Partners as they call them at Bugatti in Canada.
this guy's been an ebay member for 1 day, just joined on the 12th! and his first posting is an 06 veyron... let me go and get that check book...
i believe it is a scam. i saw the exact same pictures on lamborghini las vegas's site during the summer. it was also on dupont registry too.
Almost 5 hours now and no reply.............I told him that I was travelling and would be in Toronto next week (true) and wanted to see the car and verify the authenticity of the related paperwork and ownership documentation.............
Haha, looks like you've caught the bastard. I knew it was fake as soon as I saw this since as far as I know, there is only 1 Veyron in Canada lol.
I just bid $850K for it.....let's have some fun.......anyone else want to up the ante.....we can drive the guy crazy......
That's not Lambo of Toronto for starters. Keith, you'll be in T.O? Gimme a shout so we can meet up! I am in the middle of a move. I may run my gig out of Peter's place now!
Yeah, K-man, if you're in the city, we need an excuse for an "informal meeting" for a drink or three.
This auction is so pathetic. Check this out: http://www.dupontregistry.com/Autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=288069
I've out bid you b-mak you pauper.......still no e-mail from Mr. Seller yet....... Sorry guys....I am in transit to JFK only.......will be in Toronto for 3-4 days in January and we'll hook up.
K-man, Mr. Seller loves me, keeps sending me emails. Though he's too busy to sell a Veyron tomorrow and has to be in Barrie all day. Like I said, I'll take a $900K Veyron ANY FRIGGIN' DAY OF THE WEEK.
That is why I have outbid you.........so will I. Just e-mailed him back asking why he has not answered me yet.
Here is his reply to me......... when will you be coming down to town ? Also, if you are to win i do need full payment by monday morning once cleared i will hand over all that is needed for the car
My latest message....... If the vehicle is located in Toronto, how come the pictures are from my friends dealership located in Las Vegas ?
