    Just picked up my 01 360 spider! Two people stopped me in Baltimore today and asked if they could take a picture. I was very flattered until I realized that they wanted a pic of the car. What is the best wax/polish to use?

    just reduce it to 800x600 and click "manage attachments". browse for your pic and upload. that easy.

    Ref to the wax/polish Ken - You will get 100 different answers - Zaino, Zymol, Merzerna, Mequiars, etc, etc. PM DetailGuy on here. He can break down some of the differnces for you..

    Definitely recommend the Zaino Brothers system. User friendly, but a little slow to do the whole process. If you don't mind spending 8-10 hours for a typical user the results are well worth it.

    When you say "polish/wax" they are two totally different things. Even though Zaino labels their products Z2PRO polish, it is NOT a polish. A true polish contains dimishing abrasives that removes paint defects like swirls and light scratches. Z2PRO and Z5PRO are true polymer based sealants that have ZERO abrasives in it. I only recommend Zaino after the paint is machine polished to near perfection. Zaino because of its very high optical clairty will make swirls more visible.

    If you havent polished the paint, then I would suggest using a wax such as P21S, Pinnalcle Souveran, and some others. These are pure waxes that do not contain cleaners, and becuase of their oils they fill in *some minor swirls." hiding them for a little bit. A claybar is highly recommended as well.

    Thanks for all the input on the wax. I've been trying to search my cars lineage and finally found the selling dealer in Seattle. I needed the radio code. Who ever heard of spending big bucks for a car that doesn't have a working radio! Anyway, that dealer was helpfull and i've got a working radio now! I've had big boats and a lot of neat stuff, but nothing has aroused the public like this car. I can see that getting stopped every where I go is going to become a pain.

    Once you build the paint back up to where you want it, maintian it with a high end spray wipe. (Meguiars, Zymol). Micro-fiber towels are a must as well. And , PICS!!!! please.
