I was 20 when I bought my first car a 1980 Mazda RX7. I thought that was the coolest thing until this guy came up to me on the freeway with a 308 and made me look like an idiot. So I decided to up grade to the next affordable car and that was a Porsche 944. Saw the same guy about 2 years later and blew me away again on the freeway. Sold that car and upgraded to a 944 Turbo (which I still have to this day). I went out looking for this guy for a long time and finally caught up to him. We were neck and neck on the freeway, I don't think he could beleive it so he waved me off the freeway and we met up in a parking lot and struck up a good friendship, but when all the girl's were around they went straight for his car. That's when I new I had to save up all my money and buy a Ferrari. I was 36 when I bought my 1985 308gtsi and I love this car. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. Good luck and save your pennies.

That story sounds EXACTLY like me. I was 13 too, albeit in 2000, and my love affair is with the 360...which was "the hot model" then.

I would be perfectly content on getting my 360 by my 30th birthday. Even if I have to wait longer, I will. Never settle for less.

Bought mine about 15 days before my 26th Birthday... Black metallic 308QV GTSI.... it had 35K miles and I drove it till it had 86K miles....Good car, but it nearly drove me broke... I bought a bad car... so it was a difficult lesson learned... but in between I met a ton of great folks in the Ferrari world which make the pain of owership worth it.

Testarossa at 39, a year before finishing fellowship. Too bad I spent $500,000 for maplaractice insurance in the next five years. Working wife had to pay off the car .

The TR is white and the 348TS is red like yours. I think the 348 handles better and easier to drive. the TR has a hard time shifting to 2nd and 4th gear. it seems to like all the odd gears. Does anyone have this problem? John

At 22, my banker gave me a green light on a 250 GT. I passed up the purchase due to a fear of the unknown. At 24, I purchased a 365 Berlinetta Boxer due to fear of the unknown. At one point, word got around that I was rather fearless. My father pulled me aside one day and said, "I just want to let you know that we are going to have a really nice funeral for you".
