My mom was telling me the other day that wile she was running some errands with my sister around Enicinitas in the Quattroporte, that some asian kids in a Honda were following them for a while and hanging out of their window video taping them. Now, my mom knows she has nice car, but she was freaked out scared and had no idea what they were doing, but the first thing that came to my mind was the car paparazzi kids, but i thought they were only up in LA. Anyone know any possible websites that I could find the video on?

There are a few sites, one of them http://www.car-parazzi.com/

What these kids may not get, but their parents~ who are old enough to know better~ should is that chasing someone in a vehicle to get pics may not be interpreted as a harmless act and someone could get injured or killed. But, I'm sure their minivan driving parents think it's cute. So, when the **** hits the fan, sue the parents.

It's easy....Next time this happens(obviously makes your mom uncomfortable/scared), call the police. An unknown vehicle is following her and recording. She has a child with her and is concerned. You never know what kind of freaks they could be. I'd hate to see them follow her into a parking area and her feel as if she was cornered....Better safe than sorry I guess. But You Tube is definately the place it's more than likely to show up.

We've never been videotaped in our Ferrari.
Whenever we take the car out though, there are always people taking pictures of them. Not only that, he has always been asked about his job, how much does he get per year, cost of the car, etc.. Saw our F430 once on Exotic Spotter.

I guess you'll find the video on You Tube?

I have tried several sites including these, I can't find it. I am not sure if it is the actual car parazzi kids, my mom said they were asian and in their late teens. Also, this was in San Diego county, not LA. But, still she said she was scared/uncomfortable, and wasn't sure if they were trying to steal the car or what, it was just her and my little sister in the car.

Very interesting video, I totally can understand why the guy was so annoyed.

Not to be insensitive, but if she has a Quattroporte then it would follow suit to assume she has a cell phone. Why then would she not call the authorities with the plate # of the other car if she was alarmed? Especially if she has a young child in the car and felt threatened?

This is the media age.. It is not uncommon to see people both young and old recording images that interest them on the spot. If you own/drive an exotic, then surely the acknowledgement of the added attention comes with the territory.

Yes she has a cell phone, but it for a few minutes of some kid hanging out his window. I don't think she really thought her life was threatened, but it really did bother her. Calling 911 is a bit of an extreme reaction.

And the QP is a great car, but I wouldn't really consider it an exotic, it doesn't scream attention like a bright yellow lambo.

Your're right on the account of it being somewhat of an extreme reaction, however - it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Please tell me how you don't consider any Maserati to be an exotic?

It's not exactly in the same class as a luxury 4-door such as the Lexus LS430 now is it?

Maserati had a long exotic history way before Ferrari ever took over.

You have to expect people to know, especially in this day and age.... I mean when I was 5, there was no internet and yet I knew damn well about the Lamborghini Countach. These kids today have more access to cars like this due to the ever evolving economy and the growing enthusiasm for Exotics.

Just look at this site for example, do you really think every member on this board owns a Ferrari?

I saw a brand new C6 ZO6 one time and hung out the window to take pics on my phone. The guy was very friendly, i was wearing a ferrari hat at the time and he asked why i was wearing that hat and taking pics of his vette, it was pretty funny.

I was reading some of the comments for that Lambo video linked, and people seem to think guy guy was an idiot because he told them to leave him alone. I personally think that people have no business following exotics and video taping. Regardless of how much money you have, everyone has the right to privacy.

Wow, kids like that are real *******s. Why would anyone wanna do that?
Whenever I'm in the car and I see a nice car like a Ferrari or Lambo passing by or maybe stopped, I give them a smile and a thumbs-up

I like when the comments say that "If he doesn't want attention, he shouldn't be driving a Lambo." I think he may want a little attention, not the kind he was recieving, but the kids don't see the fact that many people buy cars like that to actually drive and enjoy them.
