Through 2009, the USGP (is this date significant?) and the Canadian GP will be broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports. The French and British GP's will be broadcast via TAPE DELAY on Fox Sports.

Fox Sports, thankfully, will use the SpeedTV's F1 broadcast crew: Varsha, Hobbs, Machett, and Windsor.

SpeedTV will broadcast LIVE the remaining 13 races.

CBS, thankfully, will not broadcast any F1.

Which Fox, regular or Sports? The Monaco race on CBS had the most ill-informed F1 anaylsts and they were completely useless compared to the SpeedTV guys.

Man, it's great to get CBS out of F1. The Monaco broadcast was horrible this year.

I would love for F1 to be in HD, but I think I hear somewhere that the cameras used are provided by F1 and not the networks themselves....I don't know how much of that is true though....

YAY! cbs is gone, and they got the right broadcast team for the job. I know how it fills fiorano, I don't know of anyone else around me that is a big fan of F1 other than the guys that are here on f-chat.

Are you talking about Fox Sports Net or just Fox, which also broadcasts sports like NFL football. I could be wrong, but I think you mean Fox.

This story says Fox Sports, but I think it will be on the OTA broadcast channel. I dont see why they would put it on one of their other cable only channels. Plus I think that the whole purpose of these non SPEED channel races over the last few years has been to get F1 to more Americans on network TV. Putting it on FSN would just be pointless.

Good thing the two most boring F1 races (imo) are the ones tape delayed. Of course I would still watch it live if it were live, but I'm not going crazy like tape delayed Monaco.

Couldn't have said it better. Two guys I won't miss.

Hey, maybe CBS heard us last year and pulled the plug as a result of all the criticism we gave those two bozos.

I like Daley. It's just so brutal how he crashed over those curbs.

Anyway, glad to see F1 on US TV again. Bummer about the two tape delays, but I'll live (probably on some dates when there is tennis or something).

Ron, no I don't think 2009 has any significance.

Amen to that. Those two clowns were just pitiful. Shaheen should be limited to covering monster truck stadium events.

In the SF area we do have clusters of F1 enthusiasts, some gathering at Ferrari of Silicon Valley to watch broadcasts w/ brunch, or, an alternative, a pub in SF hosted by SFF1.com, a knowledgeable group of enthusiasts.

2007 promises to be a most exciting year.

    Cheers
