Go on Tony, PM him and put him out of his misery. LOL. He can then take your PM to his insurance agent and say: "Look, I told you I need to increase coverage!" Joe
...ONLY to make room for another Miura SV, a decision I do not regret! LOL. But, poor me, Ill just have to make do with an LP400 Periscopa for now <<sniff>> *reaching for tissue* Joe
If Tony finds his "dream" Countach S, we will make it the featured car of the Reunion, and trust me we are all working diligently to that end! When he is happy, we will all breath a sigh of releif.....LOL.
Hi Joe, This blue LP400, could that be #1120124 ? We had a blue/white Periscopa in Holland for a few years. I belief it came from Guikas. Unfortunatly the car has left Holland again. I always thought it was the car in your picture, but never had a confirmation. Best regards, Marcello
This is great stuff! I had a cousin living in Monaco in the early 1980's. He sent me this picture of #1121214 at the 1981 G.P. During the GP weekend, Lamborghini's are all over the place here he said. That's why I went there in 1984, and he was right! Not only did we almost see Senna win the race in heavy rain, what made the world realise what a special talent he was, we saw a lot of Lamborghini's as well! I took this pearl white Countach picture at the famous disco "The Jimmy's", brought by Dieter Kremer. We did'n't come there to dance however, we just went there to check the parking lot for Lamborghini's or Ferrari's. Nice memories! I was afraid some body would comment on that! Yeah, hope I never make the FF threads. Actually I never wear a Ferrari article of clothing while in a Ferrari. In other cars, I guess that's Ok, kind of like the "I'd rather be driving my...." bumper stickers. Back on topic: Joe, are you keeping count(ach) of the cars committed or tentatively yes for the reunion? If so how's it look?
Hi Lambo 1 ! Great pictures! I think the top pictured Countach is from the 1982 Monaco G.P. This car only has one left mirror, not the same as 1981. BTW there was another Countach official car with a rear wing as well in 1981! The other two pictures are from 1983. Note the sticker on the front window that reads: "Vintage". Vintage was the official Monaco Lamborghini importer those days. Any known chassisnumbers here anybody? Joe? Ciao! Marcello
Aaah yes, I quite remember, "Discotheque Le Jimmy'z"....a few freinds and I spent $2,000 there one night in the 80s (and no we did not drive Lamborghinis afterwards...!!). I think they are still cleaning up our mess. LOL. Fond memories. Joe
LOL!! Bill Im flattered that you ask, but only Jim Heady will have an idea of who is coming at this stage, and then early next year Concorso Italiano itself will have registered entrants. Im just an innocent bystander stirring up trouble and motivating the owners of these awesome cars to get them together, the benefits of which are too numerous to list here. LOL. Knowing Lamborghini people as I do, most entrants will register in the last month!!! For me its kinda fun not having a clue. Will there be 3? Or 60? There are usually good intentions, but I must say the interest in a Reunion is VERY positive... Joe
Formerly owned by an FChatter. I took these back a couple of years ago when it was for sale at Lamborghini of Dallas. This Countach also made an appearance at the Italian Car Fest back in 2004. Enjoy. That would be great! Then we have to get the rest of my extended Countach family to come to the show, that would be the guys who bought Countachs that I once owned. We all still talk, John Victor Ralph If I find the my "keeper" their dirnks are on me the whole weekend if they come. PS: You too Joe
Im giving us 3 months to find the right LP400S, then we should abandon the "S1" search and go straight for the pure original.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
