I noticed that on your 512, it looks like a 512TR, but then you have the rear of the 512M. Did you do that yourself?

PRS29, it is a 512bbi and I do prefer the 993 to the 996, but it is mostly cosmetic. Performance-wise, I really like the steering of the 993. The 996 feels just a bit disconnected in comparison (not in absolute value, of course). Speedwise, I did not feel much of a difference and I certainly can keep up with 996's on a shorter track.

Thanks for the reply. My close friend just got a 993 Turbo S, but I haven't had the chance to drive it, as its in London. I have had a lot of seat time in 996 Turbos.. including the track. Great cars, but I LOVE the looks for the 993 Turbos. I also keep hearing from people that a stock 993T pulls in 3rd ahead of a stock 996T. The power difference is almost negligable.

Anyhow, you have a great garage. I love the RS6... I drive that car quite often. Same exterior color.. but with the black exhaust tips (sound enhancing exhaust). Great all around car. :)

Tiger 6 - is that a stamped concrete floor? Or is it tile? it's beautiful - I am looking at all flooring options before re-doing mine in the spring.

Definitely my Vector W8. The Yamaha Apex GT does go like stink though. I am getting ready to supercharge it. Should give me 280 HP out of the black snowmobile on the left side of the photo.

But with 749hp at my disposal out of the Vector, the Vector does better on the asphalt (corners better).

BTW, I was just joking about the "handling comparison" ! I heard Vectors are a b*tch to handle on the road.

Hi Fiorano94, I think if you poke around here you will find a few posts about Vector by me. I use to work for Vector Aeromotive in Wilmington CA. Hence my love and passion for the car. I am always happy to answer any questions about the W8's. With only 17 production W8's and 5 pre production / Prototype cars built by Vector they are a bit of a rarity. But tons of fun to own.

I was laughing about the comparison to the Yamaha's. The W8's handle quite well. They feel different from other cars in that the ride is very compliant compared to a Ferrari or Lamborghini. But the W8 will pull very high G numbers on the skid pad. The suspension is fully adjustable and depending on how it is set up it will pull up to 1.25 G on the skid pad. Set up from the factory they will pull .98g, but they also soak up bumps with that setting like a Mercedes.
