I am sure its been hashed over, but there is nothing better than re-heated hash. I thought I saw a pic of PAP's with a 4 puck twin disc setup? Its time to replace mine and for the dollars required for factory parts I want something more bullet proof, as this car will be on the track in 07 as well as hard street duty. The discs have to interchange with something race bred out there. As soon as I get it out I'll check quartermaster or tilton catalogs. What are the disc diameters? What is the input spline count and diameter? My clutch was changed before I bought the car and does have the later 355 TOB installed. No flywheel grease leaks, no chatter, just thin discs.

Why not just send it out and have it resurfaced? If I remember correctly a former 348 owner had his redone for about $350 for both plates.

I have twin disk. I have no idea what you guys are doing to them. I have 5+ years race only on standard clutch surfaces and home made solid flywheel no grease lightened. You want standard faces because flywheels are more expensive than clutch plates. The 300hp 348 will not break the plates loose.

Hello mate. :) I had my clutch made by fellow fchatter ferrarifixer here in Melbourne, Australia. Bulletproof. Minimal shudder on take off. Uprated/heavy duty pressure plate. Very competitivly priced considering. I have been very happy with it since Febuary this year and around 3000km.
No problems or issues what so ever. Have launched the car hard once and have done 12 dyno runs in that time. :)
Here are the 2 related links with more info from the man himself. :)

Oh I understand completely about standard faces versus plate wear. However, my american race car has a triple disc setup and has worked flawlessly for 5 years now with over 720hp (the engine pic in my profile) My silver 348 will have in excess of 450hp when I am done with it so I wanted to upgrade to something like my mate PAP. PAP mate, PM me about the details for the complete set-up with flywheel and without. Thanks

No hairdryers, yet. The first stage is au naturel. I am just applying basic 4 cylinder DOHC hotrod import tuner technology to get the 450hp. THEN we go to stage two (orchestra trumpets sounding) twin hairdryers for streetable 550hp. See, I look at my 348 as twin 4cylinder 1.7 litre engines, since the car has two separate systems. Looking at our 348's with 300hp is all wrong, look at it as 150hp per engine system. 150hp 4 cylinder? that is horrible, so I set a goal of 225hp per engine system for stage one. I fabricate and tune my customers Mitsu's and Vtec's from 250hp to single turbo 600hp. Its very basic stuff. No chips, no piggyback compter foolers, etc...The biggest power limiter in 348's are the fuel injectors, 40hp per cylinder max=320hp thats it, period! You will only have more hp if your fuel regulators have more psi in them, those parts may be rated but vary alot. 52mm throttle body, only enough CFM for 160hpx2 throttle bodies=320hp. AMM's are also restrictive, adjustable which is nice, but limited potential for big hp. Intake manifold runners are nicely tapered but too small. Then comes the big one, the heads, tiny compared to a 355 head port, or even a 4G63 or B18 head. I am in the process of gathering 2 larger AMM's, 2 larger throttle bodies, larger injectors, getting the heads ported/flowed, possible cams and fabricating my own intake manifold. The exhaust header is sufficient, with no cats and my x-pipe muffler. Also added a dual air/fuel meter to monitor both banks. I'll post pics and results in spring (fall for our mate PAP). And thats only my first stage....
Oh, and for you guys with NO CATS ONLY, adjust your AMM Ohm's to 370 (pins 1 and 6) 383 is stock. If you have to ask how to do it then refer to www.the348.com.technical library, AF mixture. The car will start easier and run better. Don't do it on Cat cars your converter will melt, because your adding more fuel and creating more heat which makes more power. I'm not responsible for burning your car to the ground, just making it faster. PAP, mate thanks for the clutch info, i'll treat you right.

Some of the tech links don't work on 348.com, so what is the AMM and how do you adjust it?
    TIA

    Group77,

I hope you really post your project here. I do not beleive you can do what you say especially without a piggy back controler and ECU games. If is was that easy there would be no reason for a Ferrari to make a 355. In every system there is a restriction. If you change what you change soemthing else will be the power restrictor. I do not think there is enough range in the stock ecu and 02 sensing system to compensate for such big changes to get 30% more HP from your simple changes. I hope you are right however.
