There were a whole bunch of those keys in the Ferrari store across from the Ferrari factory gate in Maranello, in July. I'm sure they have plenty :)

Might not be the very last one, but he's not full of crap. Ferrari SpA has blocked the sale of all blanks. No more, no way. It's not a joke.

There might be dribs and drabs of blanks left in the dealers, but once they're gone, that's it. FNA has a new cutting machine, and all key requests must go the dealership. Dealer will request cut keys from FNA, and they'll be delivered back.

That's not a smart business deal. The market is speaking on the value of these keys.

In the defense of SpA and FNA, it's a security measure. Whether or not you can find the same blade shape at a local locksmith or www.keys4classics.com (you can), FNA/SpA are trying to slow down the liquidity a bit. I can appreciate that move. You can't exactly buy a BMW, Lexus, Mercedes blank steel either... at least not to my knowledge.

This new policy began in late summer. When I learned of it, I bought about 100 of the 308/328 blanks, 75 of the 348/355 blanks, and about 30 of the 360 blanks. I was picked clean in short order, and actually had a message on the Ricambi website about the situation. If you go there now, you'll see there's basically nothing left.

WYNN and Jimmy get theirs through the merchandising wing of Ferrari (like www.ferraristore.com) where they're sold as souvenir items. The parts department at FNA dealers are mostly sold-out. They might have a few, but not many.

It was only in the last 60 days that somebody in the merchandising department there realized the "souvenir" version of the key was original key. They have since been pulled from sale.

There are plenty floating around in retail outlets. But when they're gone, they're gone. A good place to try finding them would be the trinket shops in Maranello, just outside the factory. Nobody is getting any more/new from FNA or SpA.

^^ I welcome any corrections to the above info if I'm wrong.

Aren't the 348/355 keys different?? I was under the impression the 355 has it's own model key and can not be interchanged with any other model key - is this correct??

Incorrect. 348 and 355 use the same blade. Obviously the 348 has no remote/immobilizer, but that's just the fob.

It depends. The 599 key has three buttons on it - lock/unlock/trunk open, but it is still the same shape and size (and color) as the Enzo and CS keys.

My stepbrother is a well-known artist in Washington D.C. The paintings he creates consist of a $10 canvas and about the same in paint, however they sell for over $2000 each...go figure.

599 key is infact a 612 key sprayed red (3 buttons, and flat as opposed to pointed blade. F430 keys are the same as Enzo and CS keys, have a pointed blade but sport that moulded in button for locking/unlocking the car, BUT if I remember correctly, the F430 key has a rectanglr Ferrari badge, where as the Enzo/CS key has the Scuderia Shields. I would confirm this with my own keys but I dont have the CS any more and the F430 is in storage. 599 on my drive right now!!!!!!!!!)

Yes, there is that small icon that looks not to disimilar to this: 0>>> on it, this sign means transponder fitted (F430 onwards) My 360 was just a silver key, but a fob attacked with a single button that acted as the immobiliser and open doors button.
