I'm one proud papa. My daughter just found out that she scored 176 on the LSAT exam. Not bad for a poet, eh? Dale
Thanks all. It is scary when your kids are a l-o-t smarter than you are. Funny thing is that she really is a poet. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Glascock_Prize_winners_and_participants for more.) Before this she was thinking about getting a MFA degree, but now she might change her mind. Dale
Congrats Dale. I'm betting as a poet, she'll do something positive with the degree. Best to you and your family.
Congrats. With that score, she can go where ever she wants. Average admission to Harvard scores 170 or so, so she's good to go anywhere. Apple not far from the tree? Art
Again, thanks. The funny thing is that she kept procrastinating about taking the damn thing. (She graduated last Spring.) Even then, she was sure that she had not down well. <Heavy sigh>. Dale The even better news is that she is thinking about going to a state school like Texas, Berkley or UVA because she can probably get a full ride. So maybe there is hope that I can retire again!
Yes, and congrats, she'll be flyin' high, much higher than the bats. Tests are tough, this is true, Ferraris should be red or yellow, and very rarely, blue. See, I'm a poet, but not a very good one! Mostly making rhyming stories for my kids, just for fun. BT
well, i've met dale and his daughter, and there are definitely exceptions to every rule. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) doody.
Yes Dale, you need to take some of the credit in her great scores. You must have instilled something in her along the way. I was in a store recently with our son looking for a gift when he pointed out a sign at the jewelry counter,"Parents, please keep control of you children. Their actions are in direct proportion to the love they receive from you". I thought it was a pretty strong slap but in your daughters case it could be a wonderful compliment to you and your family.......
