What is the name of the color on P400 #3102 ex-Paul Hoey? I have heard it referred to as Verde Miura, Verde Pistachio, Lime Green. Whatever the correct name, it is symbolic, iconic, and psychadelic. Outrageous.

If you can make a 800.000 dollar car from that car on the first picture, highest price ever paid for this particular car, yes then you must be the best on the planet, car looks as clean as a audemars piguet watch inside.. I love that color! I should done it with gold sills/wheels with light brown leather WHAT WILL BE THE PRICE FOR A SV IN 5 YEARS??!!

Yes I agree Gary is the best on the planet (well on some days. LOL. Sorry Gary) ....but regarding the $800k, we dont determine the market, the man authorising the wire transfer or writing the check does....but dont you think these classic Lambos deserve it?

I just heard the most ridiculous comment recently that it is said amongst some that the 2 people connected with the sale of this car (yours truly & Bobileff) "control" the market for them. If it is indeed so, I hope those of us 'manipulating' the market remember to do so in an upwardly mobile direction! And oh, have you noticed how those comments always come from NON SV owners? :)

I dont know if SVs will continue to go up. Totally restored cars by Bobileff obviously command very strong values, but, there are some tired ones out there too. I was offered a restoration project (read: rats nest) recently for circa $100k US. But I can tell you this, SV owners are not staying awake at night worrying if prices will go down, thats for sure. It is one of the all-time great postwar sportscars, and if you have one, youre a VERY lucky man.

Boy, Im on my soap-box a lot these last few days, let me tell you!

The market is controlled by one thing and one thing only......

    Supply and Demand, period...

If you have what someone wants, then the control lies with the Demand they have for it and the supply you can give them......

No matter WHO has it at the time........

BUT as always, NO one should buy these for investment, BUY them because you want them.

Buy a starter and work your way up, thats the funest for me......

So far out of the 5 I have done in the last few monts, NO where near what JOE has, (and he assited me on the first few), I have kept the first "S" as it has been the best so far, I LOVE IT.

The White "SV" I let go for its current replacement, better, to me maybe, to others maybe not....

But more than half the fun is the continued search for the "best" one!!

I dont know if that will ever happen?

Yeah, way to keep this thread focused on meaningful discussions about the cars. LOL.

Marcel, wow, good stuff. Ive always thought that the original documentation is half the car's story. BRAVO for guarding that stuff.

BTW, just came back from a photoshoot of my 4884 - she flies, and Im in love all over again! :)

The term Supercar wasn't around until the Countach which wasn't until the late 70's so that would practically make it a Muscle Car. Sure it doesn't got a HEMI but it does have Muscle.
