Will a aftermarket tach work with the stock tach signal? Is a tach adapter needed or can you wire it directly to the signal wire? I have a 1995

Yes, it will work. We used them in our challenge cars without an adaptor.

Yeah as oldman said ;) What brand of tacho are you getting? I have installed a couple of Autometer monster tachs and they were a good one :)

Hey! Shouldn't you be posting that sort of info on the 348 Parts Sourcing thread?!

 I wouldn't be caught dead screwing an after market gauge in any F-Car ND

The Autometer gauges were installed in my brothers and my mates cars  Quite easy actually, most had a switch to select the cylinders for the tach to work correctly and others need wiring to be bridged which was a PITA :D

Understood. Would you consider aftermarket pedals or wheels?

I have been considering a small "shift light", I wonder if that is compatible?

Already have aftermarket Hill Engineering pedals. And would go aftermarket wheels. Although I would still keep the originals of course, to bolt them back on when I want to. :) I love 512TR wheels and 355 wheels. ;);)
