Just bought a great book "Ferrari Road and Racing" published in "05" by Winston Goodfellow with a forward by Piero Ferrari.Informative, capsulated information on both production and race cars. Interesting seeing the production numbers in one place as I have listed here. Searching F-Chat, I didn't come across any full model listings, just single models but I'm sure some diligent chap will find one somewhere.Sorry, if there is a similar post out there. But as quick guide it might be worth printing out for future reference, Hope this proves of some interest to everyone.Enjoy.

Sorry guys, I missed a couple things here and there and tried to correct but the "edit" time expired.
One important note is the 166 MM, under berlinettas the unit # should be 11. Hope you all enjoy/learn as much as I did compiling the list. I'll get to the race cars one day.

Since I am new to the Ferrari world, I found the following chart helpful to put the models in chronological order...

(the BOLD is my addition since I have a Testarossa)

A couple of minor typos (I think):

    330 America - 50 produced
    330 2+2 single headlight (series 2) - 455 produced.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Art S.

Thanks Art, you're right the 330 America should be 50 units not 30.
But the book refers to the 330GT 2+2 as, two headlight 469 units and four headlight approx. 630 units? Mystery?
Boy if there was one thing that would be nice on Fchat it would be the ability to make corrections later, now you only have a window of one hour to edit.

While there may have been 7000+ Testarossas built, I believe there were less than 1500 of the single, high mirror versions. I feel this is an important differentation as this is how the model was originally introduced in the 1984 Paris Car Show.

Does anyone have more accurate numbers?

As I said, 7000+ testarossas, but my question related to the unique, single high mirror version. I researched red-headed before I posted and they have...

    Year - Number Produced
1984 - 110 (not used as USA Model Year)
    1985 - 568
    1986 - 819

They also say 1986 production ended with s/n - 67xxx. Finally they put the first dual mirror TR with s/n 67487 for US versions and at s/n 67079 for Euro versions. This is where I came up with my estimate of around 1500.

I wonder a) how many of these 1400+ were US cars, and 2) how many are still left?

I suppose this is just an effort to make my otherwise 'common' TR a little less so. ;)

Sorry for the thread hijack. Should really be in the TR section.

    That's cool Rob,
Didn't even know about the "mirror" versions. They are probably included in the Testarossa general production #'s of 7,177 don't you think? Always great to learn something new about our cars. Have a great holiday, I might even get to the Ferrari "Race cars" models and production #'s after the turkey and before the inevitable nap.
