24 Hours of 'A Christmas Story' on TBS. I won't be watching anything else. The tradition contines. Like depression around the holidays, that's a good one too.
It's a terrific Christmas movie, though a bit over-exposed . For a change of pace, try reading the original Jean Shepherd book that the movie is based on - "In God we trust, all others pay cash". There's also a sequel - "Wanda Hickey's night of golden memories". His narrative and satire is even better in print than in the movie.
I like it simply because my dad and I watched it when I was young. I cherish the memories of that moreso than the actual movie. Although the Dad/Leg Lamp relationship is hilarious no matter how many times you watch it. I'll see what else is on after that part.
I remember seeing it in the theatre when it came out. My girl friend and I were just about the only ones there. Boy I'm old.
