Today I went out to the garage to put the car cover on my CS for the week, and after hooking up the battery tender and using the immobilizer key fob to lock the car, the alarm gave me 4 "beeps" shortly after giving the usual 1 beep to signify that the car was locked. I tried doing a search on the forum and couldn't find any information on this.

The doors lock, and the alarm LED in the car is flashing, but obviously this new beep sequence is not the norm. Does anybody have any thoughts as to what the problem could be?

    Thanks!

It means that one of the alarm cicuits didn't return a proper response signal. This would happen if your trunk or engine bay lid or one of your doors were to be open. It could also happen if a plug (ex: inclination sensor, door lock sensor) was unplugged.

As stated above, check to see if the trunk or engine cover is full closed.

You may also have a dome light not working or blown the dome light fuse. The alarm system uses the dome light circuit to sense a door being opened. The same circuit is also wired into the lighter receptacle and the use of any plug in appliance, like a radar detector may have blown the fuse.
The alarm system will see that a circuit remains open and will signal this with forur beeps.

That was it! Had opened the trunk yesterday to take the car cover out of it. Guess I hadn't closed it completely, though it did look like it was.

Thanks for the help folks :)
