Hey I'am new to this chat room. But I just got a 1999 red 360 coupe with 8K miles on it , on the 24th. It has a tubi , challenge rear grill (front coming soon), 19 inch wheels, and built in K40. Does anyone know what horse power I'am at with the tubi? What horse power can be achieved with bolt on parts?

    Thank you

    Sit back, relax and enjoy.

This world is far beyond horsepower. When discussing Ferraris, horsepower is just a number.

Red 360, congrats and welcome to fchat.
G is right, fcars are so much deeper than hp numbers. However, I have hi flo cats, gruppe m intake and sports exhaust and the combination for sure adds both hp and tq. And sounds awesome too. But hp comes much dearer for fcars than corvettes or porsches. There are a few tuners that promise, with great controversy, 30hp+ or - but its expensive.
Enjoy the car, the 360 is an awesome ride with great balance and though not the fastest car out there is one of the most fun.

red360, welcome to F-Chat and congratulations on your car.

On a side note, I can't believe that the handle "red360" was not already taken on F-Chat after all these years . . .

I was just thinking the same thing. Amazing how this simple handle wasn't taken before. You would imagine anyone with a red 360 will try it out first. Well, I guess we are mistaken.

The Tubi exhaust won't add much, most exhaust manufacturers have not been able to prove more than 4-5rwhp. Harmony Exhaust Manifolds which we carry have been dyno proven to add 17rwhp, ECU tuners typically claim 30rwhp but in reality it's 8-10whp, we dyno'd 4whp on our BMC filters and GruppeM owners have claimed 12-15whp. Hyper-flow cats had a peak gain of 13.8whp, and that's the majority of most bolt-on parts. If you need pricing on any of these I offer special deals to f-chatter so feel free to contact me.

Kevin, my warranty is up in July 2007, and I plan on doing the headers, hyper-flow cats, and wheels when it expires.

red360, congrats on your new Fcar! If I'm not mistaken the 99's are louder and have more hp than later 360's. I have 550hp in my 996TT, but I prefer to drive my F360. With a Ferrari, it's not about the hp. It's about feeling connected with the car. You didn't say if you got the F1 or manual.

It's arguable. The 99's have two less catalytic converters than any later US spec car, which theoretically could make it faster. It definitley makes them louder, especially with a performance exhaust. Congratulations on the new car, I myself have a 99 and I love it.

Unfortunantly it doesn't add up like that, for example a set of aftermarket catalytic converters may make more HP with the factory exhaust than compared to an aftermarket exhaust, there's too many variables to just add it up together, but you can use it to give you a rough idea so an item that added 15hp with the stock exhaust may only add 12hp with an aftermarket exhaust.

Also the BMC air filters and GruppeM intakes are interfering modifications so you can only have 1

Gotcha. What is the most RWHP you can get from a 355 with those simple mods ?

Correctly stated previously, you can't just add up the nett gain on each component, as each enhancement will have some impact on the next, only a Dyno can give you the exact figures.
We have a couple of what we call "non invasive" enhancements for the 360, that may interest you.
    Enjoy your new 360.
Happy Holidays and a Ferrari New Year :)
