Tough one, you are selling to a small market and generally they expect perfect models like you no less.

I have sold damaged BBRs for anywhere from $14 to $50 depending upon the damage and rarity.
Generally it works out to about 10% of the original value.
With the damage and the fact that it is not particularly rare your $50 is WAY too high. $10 or $20 at best usually! You might get lucky though who knows!!

I am a pretty experienced modeler and this is quite difficult to repair properly.

    That´s the problem right there.

And the model isn´t rare enough to settle for one with extensive damage and go through the hassle of repairing it. You are looking for someone who is dying to have this particular model, but even if there is someone like this roaming Ebay, then he´d probably still hold out for a M.I.B. one. Most collectors don´t see the point in paying 50 bucks, or any amount of money, for one that isn´t fit to be displayed.

Is there any way to repair it yourself?

IMO. Here's is an itemized list.

    456 Venice Cabriolet Sultan 1998
    BBR128B OOP

    ***** EXCL SHIP/TAX *****
    List price US $228.00
    Wholesale $137.00
    ebay est $105 - 140

****** EST REPAIR COST EXCL SHIP*****

    Paint: research/match/procure .5hr
    Repair: windshield frame//glass/blend paint/
    attach wipers 1.25hr
    TOTAL 1.75hr x US $35.00hr = $61.25

In theory, the value in its current condition is somewhere between US $43.25 and $78.75. I estimate the value at about $42.00 but I would expect a high evil-bay bid around $33.50
