Which do you guys think would yield a close-to-true F1 sound for 355 at the higher RMP range. HyperFlow Cats + Capristo? or HyperFlow Cats + Tubi? or HyperFlow Cats + X-OST? Not looking for the loudest or the "best" sound (best or not is very subjective anyway)....but just want a closest to real F1 sound from 355 while still need to be smog legal (in CA).
I've got option B on mine, and according to my buddies my car has a real high pitched howl to it...very F1-ish.
X-Ost and Capristo are awesome in terms of providing that F1 sound. Another exhaust you may want to consider is the Kreis-sieg. Pricing in the past was always higher than the competition but they have lowered the retail drastically. We carry all of the exhausts although I do recommend Daniel @ Ricambi for X-Ost as he is the U.S. distributor.
Price was right. I also had heard it on a 348 and it sounded amazing. I figure if it sounded good on a 348 then it would sound even better on a 355!!!!! Also Daniel(www.ricambiamerica.com) recommended it and he hasn't steered me wrong yet!!
option d provides a real F1-Ferrari sound: NAPerformance 4 in 1 headers + HyperFlow cats + Challenge pipe Andi
out of your choices , Capristo for sure . But nothing tops Kreissieg http://www.kreissieg.com/report/sound/8-28-355-start.html
I think just about any set up on a 355 will give you that sound... I have tubi headers + tubi exhaust + test pipes + kreissig midpipe and it seems about as close as you can get to the sound of an F1 car without the extra 11,000 revs. Even when I only had the Tubi + test pipes it was close. The headers and midpipe just smoothed out the sound a lot and made it really wail at the top end. I think you'll be happy with whatever you get. -R
