    Hi All,

I allready wrote something in the big scales post. I only want to see/collect who else has complaints about the work of Tamiya. Myself, I bought an Ferrari Enzo Nero a couple of weeks ago. Only the right door is a little bit out of shape just at the back. I can close it, only the door comes 2mm out of the car. I contacted Tamiya, and they don't bother to reply. If other people have more complaints, I can write that to Tamiya. Ofcourse with the permission of the modelowners.

Hopefully you all can help me!!

Sorry to hear about your problem Speed, but i personally have had really good experiences with Tamiya. I use to race their 1/10th scale off road (car) racers with much success and my purchase of the Red Tamiya Enzo has been nothing but exceptional.. There have been a few cases here and there (on this forum) with problems with Tamiya products but i think it may have been blown out of proportion... Good luck....

So far I have two Tamiya models. The first one I bought was the 1/12 F50. When I got it home I unwrapped it and gave it a good inspection prior to building the model. It went together with no problems. Fit and finish appear very good and all the advertised options seem to be good as well. The car rolls nice, the doors open and close well, the roof can be removed and replaced just fine, the front and rear boots open and close well and the live suspemsion seems good as well.

The second Tamiya model I have is the 1/12 Enzo. So far it is unbuilt. I did the same inspection and have not seen any obvious problems. I expect this model to be as good.

I've built half a dozen 1/24 Tamiya kits and they have all be spectacular, I'm about to start work on a 1/12 F50GT conversion based on the Tamiya F50, I'll let you know how it goes.

Language might be a problem. Tamiya is Japanese, no?

I've always had good experiences with their models. It's possible that your kit was either heat-warped or just had a manufacturing error. Did you order it or buy it from a shop? You could always show it to them.

I think it's an manufacting error, because I put the box (with the car still in it) in a dark spot, so I don't think it has something to do with heat. I'll go back with the car to the shop. Thnx anyway!!
