wait a minute the whole back of the car is not right, grates on engine hood, insignia....whats going on w/ this 355? Is this some kit, enlighten me?
Someone please chime in and tell us the real number but I have been told there were 4 or 5 348s with 355 body work that were in production 95 model year.. JJ
Lets add to your confusion! With a 355 Challenge rear grill and 355 rear lights Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I want you to prove it to me... Dont just tell me 0 I have been a collector for 18 years and Have seen lots of cars. I am telling you a Reilable source told me this so PLease give me some Facts... PLease prove this so I can sleep.. JJ
Not the rear lights (different physical area/layout). Not the front bumpers. Not the rear hatch bonnet (different shape of rear rise/bump). Not the rear side fenders (different shape of rear wing bump). Those body parts were *not* shared between 348's and 355's. There were a few 348 Competizione's that deleted the side grates on the doors, but the remaining door openings were still the boxy 348 side vents (just no bars) rather than the sloped 355 side vents. Likewise, a few 355's may have had the 348 hood (black air vent on 348's, body-colored intake on 355's). Same front fenders. May have had different latches for the targa tops, though.

Seats are wrong for a 355, angle of tail lights is not Ferrari standard (Gared conversion), 3rd brake light is stock 348. I'm sorry you find this hard to believe, but it's not a 355. As a concours guy yourself, you'll immediately recognize that this conversion (whether you think it's attractive or not), lowers the resale liquidity of the car and offers no concours potential whatsoever. One more thing.... check the VIN and other pictures: http://www.dougs.com/vehicle.aspx?stockNo=611426D&title=1992%20Ferrari%20348TS&id=8ef8436a-c984-4e28-8766-2e70396959cc&nav=used&elName=Make&Make=Ferrari
Ahh you are confused Look little 348 you can never be a 355 because you are not special enough my little rust bucket. Just reside your self to the fact that you are an inferrera ferrari model, with owners such as Pap and Jack Russel racing.......HHAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Shouldn't you be home eating clotted cream, boiled meats, wet potatoes, and warm beer, right about now?
LOL!!! Funny that because i just have....and wearing my union Jack boxer shorts with a knotted hunky on me head
The only way a 348 would have had 355 body parts from the factory would be as a test mule. As for them selling the test mules, maybe, the Enzo test mule was just sold for about $150K, and that was based on a 348 body. But as far as them selling one through dealers, sorry but didn't happen. If your source is so realiable, have them provide you the the chasis numbers of the cars that were sold. But unlit they can pony up the chasis numbers, the number of 348's with 355 body parts sold through a dealer is still Zer0. Any 348 with 355 body parts is TOTALLY after market.
Are you still here preaching to the Ferrari warlords about your overrated 355 poof mobile. We all know the 348 is a real mans car and the 355 has been toned down for the likes of hairdressers like yourself chaa that need poofy powersteering, (because you are not man enough to steer the car without powersteering) homasexual style F1 paddle shifting, (because you are a weak little man with chicken legs that cannot depress a Ferrari clutch pedal) and 80HP more to get you to that hairdresser and manicure appointment quicker. MWHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Im serching for the pics of that car I mentioned. The car I mentioned I believe now was one of 2 that were "supposedly" from the factory. WHen I find it will post for you guys to tell me if its real or not.. Until then I will keep looking for it.. JJ
Look, this is just nuts. Look at the picture in the posted website. That franken-Ferrari has a 5-speed manual transmission, just like the 348. Duh! Why would the factory waste time bolting a crappy 348 cable-driven 5-speed onto a brand-spankin' new 355 motor? It's a 348. Nothing more to say or see.
I am not refering to any pictures or stories of any cars in this post. Something entirely different. When I find the car I will post it. JJ
