Sure, can we go to Commercial Road like last time sweety? What we could do if you really want, is I could bring a radar gun along if you want to check your speedo? Regards, Carl.
that'd be good.... happy to. How about you come to PI on Friday for a lap or 3... won't be high top speed on a race track, but you'd get an idea of accuracy... I checked it against my Hyundai Santa Fe... it was ~ok at 100kph... or as good as the Hyundai anyway...
a BB has just as much boot space as a 328 as far as i can see....but at the opposite end, of course. i used to put in heaps of plastic bags full of clothes etc in the front. and no 328 will keep with a boxer....how can you compare different testers 10 years apart. the 0-30 number is the only one that makes sense. anyway...who cares...one you have to rev the tits off, the other just choose any gear and squeeze the throttle. i know which i'd rather have....but that's another story.
how accurate are they really... how small a pinpoint of location do they offer currently... and surely THAT is a factor in their accuracy for speed calculation?
yes, but perhaps you've only seen an Aussie 328... a UK 328 has a much bigger boot than an Aussie car... due to different exhaust and emission system... ya see... you just don't know enough do you?
not necessarily, and Aussie cars can suffer many fates worse than a UK car from their useage here. So personally, factoring in the relative performance and likely condition, I'd rather have a UK car, despite a little rust.
so, serious enquiry, how does a GPS calculate speed, if it's not a time between known locations (the accuracy of which is as yet uncertain)...
is that why they never bring the price a aussie car brings.A Good Aussie car is = to a concour UK car.In all my years of being involved with cars I've never seen a Uk car that has been used that comes close to a Aussie car of similar usage.
that's too great a generalisation Rob..... on the whole, with regard to paint/panels alone, yes, an Aussie car is typically less rusty... but it'll suffer much more sun damage, degradation of perishables, and wear and tear of underbody from rough road conditions.
jam your apology up your shiny spot.. and answer the question you already implied you knew the answer to.
