    The story on CNN this morning.

    If at all possible, drive until you're upwind of the affected areas, otherwise, you'll be dealing with the symptoms without a moment's relief until leak is repaired and air clears. If it means a hotel stay, then, so be it, but your health is worth it.

    Downtown went through this a few months back I dont recall if they ever figured out what the maple syrup smell was. My theory was at the time, that it could be a terrorist testing the response and contamination field of releasing a gas into the city. But I am probably wrong. Scary thought though.

    The smell here in Jersey City was horrible this AM.
    It definitely did not smell like Maple Syrup.

    More like rotten eggs? I'm sure you already know, but, that unpleasant scent is an additive, for safety (the nose knows) as natural gas has no odor. Found that out while digging to China when I was 6. So, we relocated the dig...
