When I first saw the Nera in Monterrey (where I live), I noticed that the rear cover of the engine was like the normal Gallardo (that you can't see the engine) and then I see these other Neras that have the rear cover like the SE (that you can see the engine) So why's that? Can anyone explain me that? I didn't find the exact words to describe it but I know you understand what I want to point out. Javier
So a normal Gallardo can have a glass engine cover?? I thought that was a unique thing for limited models only... Because the SEs began having it... EDIT: Okay, now I know that it was always an option for the Gallardo.
I think it was an option for all Gallardo's (special edition and "regular" versions) starting with their 2nd model year of production. I am not for sure though.
Can somebody tell me if that paint is a mix of matte and shiny? It looks like certain surfaces are matte black. If so, I think that is great from a design point of view.
Holy cow, I've just been offered this car here yesterday & I didn't know it's a limited edition? But I suspect mine is a specced up version as it's an '04 car with black/red interior but has the glass cover, a US$10300 option here & the wheels @ US$8500 option. The dealer do have the '07 version with the same cross stitched interior for US$452000 inclusive of a 110% sales tax here. And that's the price of a base car before adding extras. It looks fierce especially when one comes up in your mirrors but I still like yellow or orange.
I just can't get used to the matt plastic, looks poorly finished and looks like it could scuff easily and I hate that quilted leather look, this is not a country club, give me Daytona leather anyday.
