Mods to 360 wheels on a Mondial t

    I recently saw a Mondial T that had 360 wheels on it where the rear wheels had the center mounting surfaced machined to remove about 3/8 of an inch. This was done to change the offset and allow the tires to fit inside the wheel wells. The owner of the car said he bought it that way and didn’t know who had it done or where.

    Has anyone else done this and do you know of any problems that might result?

    roofguy, I would be interested in this as well. It seems the stock 360 wheel / tire set-up look great on the T but I heard they rub a bit or bump or protrude on/from the lip of the rear fender. I read here that some guy actually bent out or hammered in ( don't remember) the fender lip to avoid this. Also if anyone sits inteh back seats, I heard teh 360 set-up really rubs.

    Those are 355 wheels. I saw them on many Mondial t's in the late 90's while stationed in Germany. Quite popular upgrade, apparantly.
