Media only thing this time. Launch in Maranello and begin testing on the 15th at Fiorano. Massa to do the shakedown. Should be an interesting year.

Will they announce if and who is the sponsor taking over from Vodafone at that point?

I've also read that the car will not be ready, or they'll just do their big unveiling and change the look of it later anyways lol. Apparently they're still working on aerodynamics for the body.

I'm also wondering who Alice, and on the same subject I'm interested to see the livery on the McLaren with the vodafone sponsorship.

Car won't be ready? Massa is supposed to do the shakedown on Monday?? I'm pretty sure it will be ready, if not that would seem pretty flakey. I think that they're just creating suspense if "not ready" is the rumor. Alice may be code word for a sponsor too ;)

BTW, you can get an idea of who some of the current sponsor line up is from this pic:

Ferrari's new single seater for 2007, to be launched on Sunday, will undergo a major visual bodywork overhaul before it makes its race debut in Australia.

It is understood that substantial elements of the car's aerodynamic profile are still in the design phase, which could explain speculation that the so-far unnamed car may not be 'ready' for the official unveiling in Italy.

Team CEO and Team Principal Jean told the newspaper Corriere della Sera that Ferrari aims to give Felipe Massa - who will debut the car at Fiorano on Monday - and Kimi Raikkonen a 'great car'.

As much as I hate to see Schumacher go, I am really looking forward to seeing what Kimi Raikkonen can do with Ferrari.

It looks like stuff is out already over in Europe.

    http://www.grandprixproducts.com/erol.html#1942x0&&http%3A%252F%252Fwww.google.co.uk%252Fsearch%3Fhl%3Den%26q%3D+2007+ferrari+puma%26meta%3D

IMO they're trying to keep aerodynamics under wraps. Saw this on Italiaspeed.com

"Media sources to state this proposed schedule today include Italian news agency ANSA, German newspaper Bild, and Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, but there is much confusion as to whether Ferrari will actually show their new car, or just present photographs of it, and also if photographers will be allowed to attend the event; all suggesting that the Scuderia are keen to keep its details of the cars away from the prying eyes of other teams for as long as possible."

The new sponsor is Mubadala Development Company of the Abu Dhabi government. If you look at the caps the team is wearing you will see
    Mubadala on them.

This also the same company that bought a 5% stake in Ferrari and is making the Ferrari Theme Park in Abu Dhabi.

I believe they are an Italian internet service provider. They already sponsor Ducati in MotoGP:

Ferrari has been doing this for the past few years now. They will introduce the car with previous year's aero package to not tip their rivals off on what they are doing. New elements will be introduced accordingly and completely by the first race of the year. This is done more for the introduction of new sponsors and to show off their new livery.

Exactly...as engine specs are locked in no one wants to tip their cap anymore on the aero front so I think a lot of changes will come as crunch time nears for all the teams.....

Alice is an Italian internet service provider.....Vodaphone's leaving Ferrari reminds me of when Fed Ex left Ferrari to sponsor Williams because Williams was going to be the next powerhouse in F1....

well, the main reason Vodafone is leaving Ferrari is because they were desperate to become team title sponsors. Ferrari didn't want to leave Marlboro, who had an amazing offer on the table for Ferrari.

OTOH, Mac were ending their contracts with West...so....

I like it. It's called the F2007 apparently - like in the good years (except for 2005).

I like that there's less white, more red.

    Gearbox area really slimmed down!

Front nose and wing like last year, we'll probably see something new before OZ.

They (like Renault) kept the single keel front suspension.

    Maybe not a single keel.

With the official release of the F2007 and the spy photos of the R27, I am feeling the F1 Buzz again.....can't wait until the season starts. Hopefully Kimi will get his 1st WDC and with Massa, bring the WCC title back to Ferrari in 2007.
