I went to the doctor today cause I have a sore throat. Anyway got some medicine for it.

Last time I was there I told my doc that my heart felt weird sometimes and I could at times "feel" my heart beat and pulse. She check my cholesterol and Thyroid. My cholesterol was 150ish and my thyroid was fine.

Today when she was checking me she said that my heart would at times have an irregular heart beat. She now wants me to wear a EKG machine for 24 hours... should i be concerned?

I've had it done twice. Everyone in my family except my mom has had it done twice. It is just testing to see if you always have an irregular heartbeat, or if it was just that one time. Don't worry. Most likely it was nothing.

Hope everything works out for the best and nothing serious.

I've been feeling wierd myself, and suffering from vertigo. I haven't been to the doctor in years, so I'm thinking about just going to get blood work done and a check up just to play it safe. My mom doesn't think it's necessary, but I'd just feel better.

No thanks, I'd just annoy the neighbors with it.

Tachycardia (fast heartbeat) is not uncommon. Heavy drinking will cause it, among other things....

Seriously, I wore a Holter Monitor also, about 20 years ago, I was supposed to write down every time my heart skipped a beat, but the page was full after 20 minutes...... it still does it, but nowhere near as much as it used to.
It didn't skip beats - it had extra beats.
