There are other pics and more info , this car was seen at a FOC event in 2005 i think. Somebody will probably pop in with the links/pics. I dont have anything here, i changed computer/country 3 months ago..
This is a custom body on a Testarossa chassis (s/n 87193) and the work was very well done. As I understand it, the bodywork was designed by the owner. The pictures in the link were taken at the UK Ferrari Owners' Club Concours at Boughton House in 2003. Personally, I rather like it, but regardless it is always good to see something new and different rather than some appalling replica of a 250 GTO. Here are a couple of pictures taken (by me) of the same car in July last year. Jonathan Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would too, then sell it to the highest bidder and buy a real Ferrari. That thing is a train wreck...
Basis was a standard UK version Testarossa (not 512 TR or F512M). A couple more pictures below, which are all I have to hand at the moment. I have quite a lot more details on who did the work etc., but not with me now. Interesting how different the views are on it. As I have said, personalkly I like it. However, that is irrelevant. The owner had it made how he wanted it to satisfy himself, just like Jim did with the P4/P5 or many others back in the 50's. To me it is great that it exists and that someone was prepared to spend the money necessary. Like it or love it, it is interesting and unique and you'll see it only rarely if ever. Exactly, Guys who imagine to correct the work of master-sculptor Pininfarina make me puke, damn, it's so ugly!
If you think you'll find a bidder, you might eventually exchange it for a Lada, maybe a Skoda! Out of this Italian beauty, you guys just made a monster! Trashissimo!
