Well that sucks. Theres a vette out here a little north of Detroit that actually goads people into drag racing. Can you say entrapment?

 

A few days ago I was on the WSH and my radar detector went nuts... up comes behind me an unmarked YELLOW Dodge Charger with black striping... I thought my detector was picking up something entirely different. I wasn't pulled over and didn't get a look at the guy driving, but now it makes sense...

Looked like just some guy in his shiny new Yellow dodge.... God help us if the cops start driving pseudo-exotics around....

 

i guess theres one positive side about not having a license. I dont have to worry about undercover cops

 

That was not NYPD. NY state law says that all emergency vehicles (NYPD included) must use only red & white lights....if you saw red & blue it was either an unmarked federal officer (i.e. secret service, fbi, FEMA, etc.) or some other agency (postal police, etc...).

is it me or have a lot of precincts, (local, county, state), have been obtaining unmarked cars with what appears to be basically limo tints and pulling over drivers? what's up with these new cruisers?

Thank God I had my PBA card on me, he let me go.

The undercover cops suck, I have a precinct 2 blocks away from me, they have a yellow cab as a police car.

Have the cops used the taxis to pull speeders over recently? It was my understanding that these patrols are used for other purposes. I've personally witnessed robberies where these guys came out of nowhere and it's pretty amazing - and comforting after 9/11.

 

I was flying past Penn Station in the 355 and a cab pulled out with the lights and siren. I had no idea that there were taxi cab cop cars, so I made a left on 30th and stopped in front of the Police Station.

Before the guy in the cab got out of the car and came over, a cop walking by into the station house said, "That's a real cop, don't worry."

He issued me a no-front-plate ticket and a PBA card. He said, "Good move on pulling up to the station, but now that my boss is watching, I gotta hit you for something."

I happily paid my semi-annual no-front-plate "fee". (I used to get about 2 no-front-plate tickets a year.)

 

Only Emil could finagle a PBA card from a traffic stop LOL !!!

Given what these patrols are desperately doing trying to "snare" folks, i wonder where is the pride and honor in this? Imagine the cop going to court and saying:
"Yes, judge, I drove a civilian looking car on purpose just to hide my identity, hid behind a bush like a rat, waiting for an unwilling victim to pass by, and then pounced on him by pretending to be someone else that i am not."
Where is the integrity in that?

Civilizations crumble not because a couple of folks break the rules(ie. speeding), but its the beginning of the end when people in power turn against their very own people with unscrupulous tactics. Very sad.

 

Got pulled over a while back by a dark green Chevy Lumina, talk about blending in.

i've seen dodge durango's and an old camero here in ohio.

 

That's the second time that happened. The first time I was "driving" the 355 in front of Noah's apartment and got pulled over for "Exhibitionist Speed" around the corner of 64th... "An exhibition requires an audience, officer, and I only count one of you."

No ticket but I got a PBA card.

Then, there was the time over the summer in the Lambo during the Bullrun in Chicago I screamed past 4 cop cars at 140+ wearing a Matador costume... A chase ensued. Guns drawn at the stop.

No ticket and a police escort back to the Highway...

 

Excuse me???? Integrity???? How is the cops Integrity at question , when your the one VIOLATING the LAWS??? And as for Desperately trying to SNARE people.......I believe its like "Shooting fish in a Barrel"!!!!

Step One: Admit your a Law Violator!
Step Two: Lets blame the LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER for my LEAD foot!!!!
Step Three: Lets blame the Law Enforcement officer for my weaving in and out of traffic.

Step Four: TAKE SOME [edited] RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!! Your an adult. If you get caught and you get off.....so be it... If you get caught and get a summons....Fight the *****. But Please....Stop Blaming OFFICER NECK VEIN for doing his job. All you do is come across as a [edited]!!!!!

You guys make it sound like an Unmarked Police car is a New invention. They have been around forever.

As for the Charger with the Black Stripe. You were probably driving past a Traffic Sign that is hooked up to radar.(the kind that tells you how fast your going).
