They look cool, but not sure if I would ever use them on the road. Maybe for car shows to show off some big brakes. Thats about it. :):)

They are made from either Lexan or Makrolon, a polycarbonate material.(a type of plastic).

Very strong stuff it is, I would believe its very safe.

Sure, they would have to be. :) They would have to pass strict safety rules before they would be allowed to be sold on the market. Still would not drive with them on the street. To "show pony" for me. :p:p

Believe it or not, I don't believe such rules (ex TUV) exist in the US. Any jerk-off can start a wheel company, I think.

Wow!! Are you serious? That is scary to think about.
Imagine if the wheels fall apart and you kill yourself or someone else down the road? Sue the company? Yes. But you cannot bring back a life.

A friend has a Nissan Skyline R33GTR. He has some Tommy Kiara performance wheels. (Never heard of them personally, but they are very good quality apparently). Anyways...............they are around 4yrs old and one of the wheels developed some cracks in the wheel. Not sure why? Well, maybe out **** roads here helped cause this. He emailed the company, let them know and sent pics showing the wheel cracked. They immediatlely sent out 4 new wheels and he sent those wheels back so they could inspect. That is great service. They know 4 wheels would be cheaper than a lawsuit if someone got killed. In Australia, everything has to pass Australian Design Rules. ADR. If you dont, then you cannot sell your inferior product, as it would be deemed unsafe here in Aus. Thats the way it should be. :)

this may not be on the rappers list of priorities, but these don't look as if they'll disperse heat as well as the conventional wheel.

Not at all. Many wheels are designed to help draw/suck air through to help cool brakes. Especially sports cars. These wheels are definitely for show. :):)
