I wouldn't touch it. The SA is so rare that anything you change on it will hurt resale. Best to leave it alone or find another one.

What would it cost to bring that car to the US? Does it need to me modified in some way?

U thinking of taking the plunge?

Not too sure about mods for going to US. A guy I know brought a brand new Mustang into the UK from the US and the main mods he had to do were to do with the lights - over here cars have to have separate indicator (turn signal)lights to tailights - flashing taillights aren't allowed here as they are in the US IIRC he also had to have the headlights adjusted to sweep left (LHD cars usually have headlamps that sweep right, which isn't allowed for permanent use in the UK). He also had to have the car tested (emissions, etc) and approved for use in the UK - the company he hired for the shipping were able to do all the work (including having the car registered), so he just went to Southampton docks and collected it where it was waiting for him all ready to go.

You may have to add side markers which would prob be cheap to do if you cut holes in the bumpers, however if you bought new bumpers I'd imagine that'll cost big $$$(Euro cars have a turn signal repeater on the front fender (below the SF shields) which I'm not sure if you could keep or would have to remove for the US). You may have to have the headlamps adjusted also - they may sweep to the left as is standard in the UK, however as this car is LHD it is obviously a European import, so they may still sweep to the right as is standard in mainland Europe. Other than that I guess you've got shipping and import duty to pay, plus probably the costs of vehicle checks/certification once it arrives in the US. One other point to note is that you may be able to reclaim the UK Value Added Tax/VAT (sales tax) which is 17.5% of the purchase price, however I'm not sure how this works or if it is actually possible.
