thats odd then. How sure are we on the Schumi #? EDIT: I have Schumi's # listed as 149546. I thought we had an error and needed to change it to that? Why would it be 142, isn't that a little low?
Schumacher drove black FXX s/n 149546 at the Monza Finale Mondiale last October. Chassis number personally verified and photographed by me. It is my understanding that that is his personal FXX. At the Nurburgring Ferrari Racing Days in September last year he drove black FXX s/n 142163. Chassis number from Marcel Massini. (Although I was there I wasn't able to personally verify the serial number). What has happened to 142163 since and whether it is still the same colour, I know not. Jonathan
I personnaly checked the s/n of FXX s/n 142163 in may of last year in Maranello (Zanassi). The car was black with black rims. I did not know at that time that it was Schumi's. Hope it helps Olivier
saw your pics of the whole trip, nice ones i'm thinking now; maybe the 142163 is todt's car but with changed body?
why would be shumi's? that's getting really complicated... another clue that lead me to thinking that 142163 can't be shumi's is that olivier saw it in may, and it had it official presentation in september... i think the proper michael's car wasn't even existing then aight, i came up with a theory: first, there was a todt's car 142163 - carbon/matte black. after the tests when it had that body it was given a new one - black. then, schumacher was about to get a one for himself - 149546 but it wasn't ready for the Nuerbring racing days, so he was forced to presentate himself in the todt's car and pretend it is his. eventually 142163 got rebodied for the second time (now for the red one) and sold to US
How come Caiola's car isn't on the registry? here are some pics (copyright Speedracer38) of his FXX. http://www.exoticcarsite.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=22171&g2_page=2
thanks for the pics! what is the light blue car that appears to be a lola? it has a ferrari badge though.
i can't remember...but I think he drove it from NC or something to try and get there to race in time. He barely made it too! EDIT: He also won!
The FXXs that Michael drove at Nurburgring and Monza both had his MS logo on the sills and seats and had some slightly different interior "trim", so I would think that it's most likely to be one and the same car........ Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think it cannot be the same car (todt's and schumi's) because I saw a pic where the two black ones (matt and mormal) where beside. Pic taken at Zanassi. Olivier
right, but it's not a common FXX as we all know... 142163, which is thought to be carbon/matte black car, which is thought to be todt's car, was built as a prototype and a test mule... so that even other FXX owners weren't expected to know about the existance of it but that doesn't rule out my theory - two of the car exists, but schumacher appeared in the todt's one with the normal black body in september manuma, i'm sure you know the answer for all of my doubts you're the expert here so i shan't deny; still you're the one who saw the car and i didn't; but i think the colour of the body is even a little different - at nuerburgirng it was more greyish and gloss, and at monza dark black pearlscent http://www.scuderiaferrari.pl/modele/drogowe/enzo/fxx/registry/31/6.jpg
If Michael Schumachers' FXX is resold (for whatever reason), would it be worth double or triple the original price? I belive it would....
Ferrari only tell us that there are 30 FXXs and that Michael's was the 30th. If Jean Todt's carbon/matte car was a prototype then they may not include it in the 30 cars. Michael's car looked shiny black to me at both Nurburgring and Monza - but the weather was dull and grey at Nurburgring and bright and sunny at Monza! I didn't notice any differences in the cars at the two circuits.
Hi RTB , I have to tell you that there are not matt elements in JT's FXX ........ http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136202100&postcount=25 Best Tad
