Actually, I agree with Chris. I would be the last to defend his online persona, but in person Matt is a good guy. He hasn't signed on since Christmas, but I'm sure he'll fill in the blanks soon
these type of threads are great entertainment. i'd much rather waste my time reading this than a debate about which wax or motor oil is best for my car. can't someone run a carfax on his car to see if it changed ownership around the time it was supposedly shipped to italy?
lol, but then it wouldnt react and he would need another excuse. He did tell me once that he had an accident, sued and was basically debt free, etc....maybe he hit his head in the accident but then again im sure the whole story was a fabrication along with the boxer he decided to sell me.

The E-bay seller has verified that he has owned the car for about a month, and it did belong to Matt. Maybe Matt found a better car to send to the factory.
Yes, the 250PF coupe he said he owned, the 308 will pay for that resto. Or maybe its the boxer he decided to restore. Cant remember what car he tried to sell L.Wayne Ausbrooks, ran him up and down the garden path, guess he decided to keep it and maybe restore it. Matt should actually go to jail for the fraud he spews out on the regular basis.
I remember during his "Boxer time" JRV was firmly convinced he actually was working on SOMEONE's Boxer, there was too much validity to the actual questions......and his BS detector is rarely wrong. *shrugs shoulders* Hard to say what motivates him, but any of us who have actually taken a 308 apart would tell you no special talents are involved to require Factory Certified technical support, that's just silly! I've called and e-mailed Matt with no reply as of this post. Though I believe anger is the platform on which rectitude is predicated - and many of you have good reason to be angry - I do not believe now is the time to unleash those feelings. With this latest piece to the puzzle, even I can no longer give Matt the benefit of the doubt, and am truly privy to his ill mind. Now is a time for truth and encouragement that Matt seek professional help. If you speak with Matt, don't scorn him; don't try to understand him or question him or get answers to questions that are all irrelevant - and all questions, at this point, are irrelevant. Just encourage him to get help. He needs it. As some of you know, Matt is a nice guy in person. Off the internet, he's personable, helpful and knowledgeable. But he is obviously pathological and needs care. I wish for him only the best and hope that many of you - who deserve to feel contempt - put it aside and help him if you should come into contact with him.
