hmm looks like a total change of the image then. i don't think it's that bad; it's just it doesn't have that heritage of the scuderia; reminds me some skis brands logos, rossignol or volkl have something in similar style that kicked cavallino looks traumatic though
Wowee, thats sick dude! Maybe their gonna be at the X-games with that gnarly logo. It's the end of old world class and sophistication. Next thing will be platform sharing with GM.
I like it. Except that I don't understand the image that looks like a bar code. Is this portion going to be replaced by the next major sponsor's logo?
No it is supposed to represent a connection with the Marlboro logo. Edit: ...as in it kind of looks like a Marlboro logo when it drives past, or when you glance at it.
It qouldn't look to bad if not for the shield emblem - that just looks bad. Really bad. Hope Ferrari F1 news only get better from now on. PS Who the hell authorises this stuff? Marketing department?
Does the shield look bad because it is slanted with the rest of the logo? Not arguing, just curious. And, is Marlboro still associated with Ferrari? I guess I'm out of the loop here. The way I see it, either they are still associated with Marlboro, in which case they should have MARLBORO on the emblem, or they are no longer associated, in which case all references to Marlboro should be removed.
Because of tobacco advertising laws Marlboro is not allowed to be present on the car but Marlboro is still paying for this look alike paint scheme because of a loophole in the laws. IIRC please correct me if I am wrong. Edit: I'm sure there is a thread about this somewhere.

I dont like it. I think the shield is to small, more people will know the shield than SF. I think marlboro is under contract till 2010
yeah, Im suprised they have slanted the shield. I would have though that went against their corporate guidelines... times change eh! Not a big fan of it.
Okay I get it now (about Marlboro/Tobacco ban). I guess the logo is like the "stop smoking" tapes you buy at Raley's that you're supposed to listen to while asleep, that probably say, "Stop Smoking; Shop at Raley's, Stop Smoking, Shop at Raley's" over and over...
This discussion reminds me of what I read about every new car Ferrari has introduced the past few years. I remember reading many people were not fans of the Enzo, the 360, 612 and 430 ... I admit, when I first so those cars I was not thrilled either, now I really appreciate their design. I hope the same goes with this logo. As of now, I would give it a thumbs down!
I like it. Surely, we will see some more "Alice" logos on the car by the time Melbourne comes, right?
That's exactly it .......it was "Scuderia Ferrrai Marlboro" before. The laws won't play, so they have to loose the Red Chevron Roof and everything, while still taking the money, IIRC...... Luca has done well if he's sold that! While avoiding "Contempt of Court" which is real hard to answer for.................
i suppose they are doing this just to show that it's post Schumi now. like u said....whats wrong with the old logo? i just can;t seem to think of any other valid reasons..
from what i read in various sites, the word Marlboro has been dropped from the Scuderia's official team line. Instead of Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro as we've always knows for these past few years, it's just Scuderia Ferrari now.
