Any one who knows how to take off the "door step". What I mean is the steel plate under the door. You only see it when the door is open. It seems to be a bit rusty towards the front. Need to be repainted both of them.

    Thanks in advance,

    B

They are very difficult to remove without basically destroying them. There are a few screws that hold them in place (see attached), but mine were also epoxied in place. The three screws are on the inside edge, near the rubber door gasket. You will need to peel back to rubber gasket to see them. I replaced mine with carbon fiber sills, so I wasn't too worried about damage to the originals --- but, as I removed the originals, they bent hopelessly beyond repair.

You might check out Daniel's website: www.ricambiamerica.com. They have several door sill options in a wide price range. In my opinion, the WOW factor you get from the look of carbon sills is worth stepping up in price. I plan to change my factory plastic ones soon, and will definitely go with CF.

OK, I'm an idiot. I posted the wrong website (sorry Daniel). The correct address is www.ferraricarbon.com.
