Been away for more than a week in f*****g cold Shanghai. Saw an F 430 and a 997 GT3 in my neighborhood. I think that the GT3 is one of Porsche's best efforts recently. Mean, mean looking car.

I am swearing off convertibles in Indonesia. Never used but creates problems. My SL's convertible decided to die suddenly and repair/replace will cost an arm and a leg.

Very sad to announce that my quest for my first Ferrari has to be postponed for a while. Seduced by a watch that absorbed a huge chunk of my car budget. So, I have to save up again. Unless I go for a car loan which charges exorbitant interest rates in Indo.

Anyway, I am lucky to have a friend who just bought another Murcielago. He has 2 now. 1 in Jakarta and 1 in Surabaya. So, at least I can catch a few joy rides from him.

Regarding the Bentley Conti, IMHO it is disappointing. Except for its power to accelerate, nothing else impress. Well, that was my experience when I rented it for a few days in Dubai last month.

Jon - glad to see you're thinking about make this a reality.

I've fallen in love with Lambo's through my G - it is a mean, mean car, and you'll have a whale of a time with it.

What are '04's trading at nowadays? New '07's are around $700K, right?

Michael, few strange details you have there.
    1) There's no '93 Testarossa. They stopped in '91 & the 512TR from 91 onwards
    2) It has ECU, Testa doesn't have it
    3) Mileage is going to scare people away. Never seen any Fcars above 80K so far

Lastly, there's only one 512TR left so if that's the one. It's a good buy except the mileage. Maybe I should consider this upgrade :D

I pulled the trigger on another car an hour ago but **** happens....:( anyway, it's probably delayed that's all. No big deal.

Thanks for the clarification, Jon - you're THE expert!

Anyway, the owner's an ang-moh and the info was forwarded to me via one of my staff (who happens to be his friend), so I don't know him personally. Apparently, he's leaving the country and wants to sell the car as soon as he can.

And yes, the mileage is a bit of a put-off...

Well, I gunned a 360CS!!! Went down without lunch right after Tiong's trip.

Saw the car & fell in love. Rosso Scuderia, 1 owner, 15K, stripes Yipeee, red alcantara sports seats, racing harness, CF everywhere, Kguard etc. Jan '05
Realised there's not much pockets to put anything in this car.

They took in my two old birds & I top up $430 incl transfer. ON, & we were filling up documents then boss think here think there NO. :( well, i I top up more he ok but me thinks not since he's asking very high for his.

No hurry, looks like the hunting itself is more fun! Come to think of it, I can almost buy a new car, scary....

Maybe I must go back to my scooter for a while :) & yah I'm trying to get free breakfast too haha

Mike, never heard or seen such a Testa from your offer. I understand that the 512TR belongs to an Indo & I only know of 8 Testas on the road with only 4 or 5 running around. These exclude two of the real 512M as well.

The full exhaust system sounds interesting because a full should include the headers which is a very expensive thing. The new radiators & bushes sounds good too especially when they did a chassis tune up. Maybe it's just 10k mileage? I can't imagine anyone clocking a TR that much.
