clutch was just replaced 2000 miles ago. Symptoms: -car wont go into reverse. -shift from 1-2 has lots of clanking noises coming from rear -wont shift higher then 2nd puts into neutral or just clanks in back and stays in 2nd. any thoughts? clutch position sensor? broken linkage?
If the motor is running it should never go higher than 2 and with it off a fair amount of noise is normal so one of the two of those is OK. No linkage to break. I had for the first time recently a car with a bad clutch position sensor and it had different symptoms. Bottom line is it needs to be hooked up to a SD2 checked for errors and do a cycle test and find out.
