    Good for you!

I don't know if you have or had an NSX but I did just before my first Countach... I remember thinking to myself "say goodbye to this low maintenance car" boy was that an understatement! 10 grand here, 20 grand there...

I wish you the best of luck with it.

Yes, I still have the NSX but also have some other cars (Italian and German) that are at the other end of the maintenance spectrum so I know what to expect to some extent. I have never had a Lamborghini though and have wanted one (as most here have) since I was a little kid. I really enjoy working on my cars and am extremely excited to finally get it. I know this is not a perfect car by any means but that is fine for me since I will be driving it quite often. Fortunately, here in Southeast Kansas, we have great open roads with little to no traffic which means I drive one of my cars to work everyday. I am counting down the days!

    Im aware of 4.
The Copper is an oh-so-cool period color of the era and I appreciate it very much. I have a 16k-mile factory original ex-Vasek Polak 1977 930 Turbo Carrera (dont worry, I wont post it here!) in that exact livery somewhere in my garage. Metallic Green and Brown shades were simply fab colors from that period.

    Hi all early Countach spotters,

This was the first Countach I saw in my life!
It was parked at a hotel here in my hometown Apeldoorn, Holland, september 1981. The car had German plates D-SY444 from Darmstadt. The car had thin white stripes from front bumpers to rear lights. It had Bravo wheels

In May 1984 I think I saw the same car again in Monaco, parked at the Jimmy'z Disco. It was driven by Mr. Hausman, a friend and collegue of Dieter Kremer, from the well known German Lamborghini dealer Auto Kremer, located in Bonn. It still had the white stripe, but by now the car had white Bravo wheels, and 2 small red mirrors were fitted. The plate reveils that he probably didn't come to the Jimmy's just to dance..

Joe, Walter, do you know which car this is?
Would be nice to find out after more then 25 years!

    Ciao!

    Marcello,
funny - but the chap who owned that Countach had his office here in Duesseldorf/Germany where I live. His name was Rudolf Burghard. He was a huge person with a very big belly. Always wondered how he could hopp into the car - and out! Don`t know what VIN the car had.

    Ciao!

Small world Walter! So the plate starting with "D" could be Düsseldorf then?
I remember I red Darmstadt on the small round little sticker on the plate.
Also note the front parking lights, wich could mean the car was originally delivered to Switserland. The interior was white, but the dashboard was brown-grey cloth. It also had a german flag sticker on the back, and on the rear wing. This car made a huge impression on me. A 512 BB was the next best thing in those days, but this extreme machine really blew my mind!

    Joe, you are amazing!

Very nice to see this car is still around.
In the Italian text however, I think it is said that they thank the company Top Motor from Luca Salvioli for deliver the LP400 S to be pictured.
The background looks pretty Italian as well.

With a little internet search, I just saw this:

GREAT pictures, including Wolf Countach's and Balboni with HUGE beard.

    Thanks a lot Joe!
    But what's the VIN??? :)

Thanks a ton for the copper car pics, I really appreciate it. Sounds like you both know about the car. I do not know that much about it other than where it has been but any other info would be great.

yep - the "D" stands for Duesseldorf! I took some pictures when I saw the car in those days - but unfortunately they are gone with the wind....(§$"$§"§$$""!!!)!

In that case I 've pictured another Duesseldorf Countach you probably know, this time at the Nürburgring F1 G.P in 1985. It was delivered by Auto Konig n Munchen. What a car!!! I remember I went completly crazy when we saw this beauty at the parkinglot. We went from Holland by train, and we traveled all the way to Nürnberg. When we arrived in the middle of the night, there were no signs of a F1 GP at all. Only then we found out that the Nürburgring was a few hundered km back, haha!! The F1 GP itself was not so important to us. We actually went for the Ferrari's & Lamborghini's on the huge parkinglots!!
This nice blue/white Countach 5000 S was one of the rewards!

Same question: wich car is this?

    Ciao!
