is it possible to change the clutch by myself, if so where would be the best place to buy one from, for a reasonable price, i am pretty good with cars.

can you just get the clutch plate or is it a clutch pack

    mine is starting to slip.

Yes, very straightforward job, you can have the clutch off in about an hr.
As for parts, best to have a ring round to see what deal you can get.

Yes, its a fairly easy job to do, do you have a twin plate clutch or the later single plate.

If its the single plate I have 2 new AP clutch kits available, pm me if you need one.

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Phil,

Eurospares are charging £660.50 for a single plate and £814.50 for the double plate, I`m not sure if thats plus vat as well?

I would think yours is a double plate clutch unless it was uprated by the previous owner? I can get your double plates refaced with new linings as well.

If you subscribe to Fchat I will take that off the price as well as beat anyone elses prices, then send me a pm with a phone number.

    Regards,
    Phil

If you choose to do the job yourself, can you post pictures so we can watch the process?

    Phil,

Thismorning I have removed the clutch housing from my 90 348, the guys are right it took around 2 hours but that was only because the stock exhaust was a pig to get off (corroded bolts) but very straightforward. For your info mine has the twin plate clutch although I'm not replacing it, I just have to change the triple seals on the shaft and possibly the throw out bearing/slave cylinder.

Anyone know of a good place in the UK where I can source these parts?

I got mine from Ferrari UK, but beware there are a number of different Slave setups, so make sure you get the correct seals.I ended up upgrading to the 355 setup using a new flange and slave assy from Hill Eng.

    outlined in this thread http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=6606&highlight=348+clutch+slave
