    Does any Mondial follower have an idea of the number of coupes that had the Valeo? It had to be a pretty small number as most I have seen so far were in the cabriolet.

    Wow. Good question.

    In the USA I bet there are zero, but world-wide there has to be one or two. That Valeo was on the leading edge then. I am sure it was a "must have" for someone in their coupe.

    A Mondial t coupe with a Valeo would be a nice mix. A good daily user. Lots of room and all the last refinements of the t. But as you say not likely in US/North America.

    No Valeo coupes in the US... Valeo introduced late '92 as a '92 model and all 42 t Coupes in the US sold as '89 model year cars as late as late '90, AFAIK.

    Does anyone have photos of the Valeo transmission? Either the interior controls or of the actual transmission?

    Hi gang,

    In the "Showroom" section, "Let's see all our Mondials" - - maybe around page 8 or so, the is a pic of a beautiful red Valeo coupe located in Thailand.

    BTW, the "Valeo" part of the car is not the tranny or the clutch at all. It is an actuator that engages the clutch, all controlled by sensors and a computor. Quite amazing indeed!! throws the clutch in 100ms. - - faster than I can throw my shift:)
